Question about Sony PlayStation 2 Slimline Console
(first of all sorry for some grammer or spelling mistakes) ok the problem with my ps2 is that when i put new games it does not play it does not show anything written like "cannot read disk" or "there is no data" it seems like theres no cd in it.....and the cd also get round scratches.......but my old cds do play they have some scratches too what could be the problem.......please do not tell me to get it repaired from sony or any othher shop....i want a solution that from i can fix it....please..
First thing to try is use a can of compressed air and blow that into the area of the lens from many angles. If that doesn't work you'll have to open up the PS2 and try a more direct version of the former. If not then email me and I will get to work on making a "youtube" video for it.

Save hours of searching online or wasting money on unnecessary repairs by talking to a 6YA Expert who can help you resolve this issue over the phone in a minute or two.
Best thing about this new service is that you are never placed on hold and get to talk to real repairmen in the US.

First of all the new laser lens will not allow your Slim to read NTSC UC games if you have a PAL european Console.
There is no reason the New laser should have not read the disc unless it Came to you damaged. It sounds like you know how to replace a laser.
