If you have an old V.C.R that has Red, White and Yellow sockets for AV and it still works then plug it into the RF socket tune the V.C.R to your TV and connect your Wii to the Red,White and Yellow R.C.A connections and you should be playing in no time. I have done this myself on a new Samsung TV it will work. If you have no V.C.R and you have HDMI sockets in your TV you can buy an adapter to convert the existing AV port on the Wii to HDMI then simply connect a HDMI cable (if you have 1 if not they are cheap enough off eBay starting at $6.00+AUD or around $20.00AUD Retail) to the Wii and then the TV ensuring that both the TV and the Wii are powered down prior to connecting any cables at the back. The HDMI Adapter for Wii is available on eBay from $5.00 AUD to $24.95AUD depending on the country you purchase it from. If all else fails a second TV with Red, White and Yellow RCA plugs will work but also the most expensive of the fixes. All fixes suggested will work. Good Luck I hope this helps.

SOURCE: i cant get our sony bravia to pick up signal for

no you dont but it could be the cord it self may need to be on a certain channel like 3 or 4 but most new TVs just have the VA [Video and Audio RED WHITE YELLOW CORDS] are just options for different deviced so theres no need to have it on a channel,

haha you may need a coax cable to the CABLE PART OF YOU TV AND PUT IT ON CHANNEL THREE OR FOUR AS DESIRED! the coax cables for super nintendo are cheap and can be found easliy at sum local shops who invest in older{ but needed] items for video game systems! so yeah i guess the AV [ audio and video thats the way its abbrivated\] may not work just cause of the older system! ebay may have sun but i dont really like the bay for things i can buy at my local pawn shop

SOURCE: Connected to tv but no Wii screen when we switch

Was trying to use the component option on the screen, as this had the red, yellow and white plugs shown. Eventually tried all the other options and found that it was plugged into Video 1! Works perfectly. Should try all the options on the TV!

Wii connected but no color

I assume that you are connecting with composite cables (red, white, yellow). Make sure that you have the yellow video cable connected to the correct port on the back of the tv. Some newer tvs share a composite and component input. Make sure that your tv is set to component input or you can get a black and white picture.

Problem connecting BRAVIA CX52 40 in. LCD TV with XBOX360

Just check the markings near the RCA sockets at the back of the TV. The one which marked as 'Video IN' must be connected to Xbox's 'Yellow' connection. This yellow connection is the video output of the Xbox.

On the sony bravia what ports and what channel of the TV should I plug the cable into for WII? I have tried pliging the wii in but don't know which ports are the right ones and what channel the TV should...

it all depends on model of sony bravia tv, the wii comes with a scart adapter that the white red and yellow phono plugs, plug into so justr use the scart socket , if you have no scart sockets plug the three leads into the composite plugs on the tv

Hi, Just bought a 26" sony bravia tv. I don't use cable or satillite. I just need to find out what kind of cable I need to connect my panasonic DVD player to the TV and which port do I plug it into?

The best quality would be a HDMI cable, if your DVD player has a HDMI port on the back.

Any of the HDMI ports on the TV can be configured to take the audio over HDMI (digital audio) or over a separate rca stereo patch cable (menu option in the TV for analog audio).

So if your DVD has HDMI, just buy a HDMI cable and you're done. If you cannot figure out how to switch the audio input, there is no big harm in just installing a separate RCA patch cable between the two for the sound.

The next-best would be a component-video cable (Red/Yellow/Green) RCA cable, with a separate red/white RCA audio cable.

Alternately, if your DVD has a S-video port, that is comparable to component video. Then you would need a separate audio cable as well.

Last but not least, if your DVD player is ancient, it may only have a yellow video out connection, then red/white for audio. You then just need a standard yellow/red/white RCA component cable.

My wii connection is black and white

You are connecting it into the wrong input. The Wii comes with a RCA cables that should go into the Video (composite) input that has yellow, red, and white. The component input will not work with the RCA cable input. Plug your Wii into Video1 and you should get the right colors. There should be another HDMI on the side of your TV, there are inputs located both on the back and side of the TV for your convience.

try yellow cable into the green y input.
http://en-americas-support.nintendo.com/app/answers/detail/a_id/3008/~/unable-to-locate-a-yellow-video-input-on-the-tv

The problem is that av output is going into component in
If the green port doesn't work I read on another forum that
you may be able to use a dvd recorder unit to take the av in and then it can re transmit the video to an output as component out on some dvd recorders.

Wii has no color

Are you connecting you Wii to a progressive scan TV input (2 for audio (red)(white), 3 for video (yellow)(blue)(red)?

It's possible you have the red audio and red video inputs switched.

If you have the regular AV-Cable (2 for audio (red)(white), 1 for video (yellow)), and your TV has 5 inputs (progressive), look for the 3 inputs (2 for audio (red)(white), 1 for video (yellow). If it doesn't, connect it to a VCR and run the Wii through the VCR input.
