Question about NetGear WGR614 Wireless Router
Ok, so I've had this router for about 1 and a half years. Just recently the internet connection started dropping like every 5 minutes so i have to power cycle it and it works for about another 5 minutes. The wireless light, internet light, and the 1 port light will al be on....and then the internet light starts flashing and then drops the connection....the wireless light goes out but the internet light stays on and all 4 port lights are on when it drops the connection. I tried changing the channel and that didnt work so I don't know what to do.
Hi, what ISP are you using (aol,tiscali...?), and how are you connecting to the router? Wired or wireless? I had similar problems with mine, it wouldn't connect or would drop connection, or loose all the settings. I updated the firmware to the latest from here:-
Be sure this is the correct model as firmware differes from model to model.
Then I had to manually configure my ISP settings etc. Or you may have software from your ISP which configures for you.
Hope this helps.
