First, you need to try update the latest microsoft office patch file from microsoft or you can open the MS Word, go to "HELP" menu select the update MS Word or related. Try the latest patch file first. You also can try windows update and select custom update, see their list have this problem solution or not. Second, you need to go to HP website download latest driver for LJ1020 and suitable use on Vista. Lastly, if still not solve the problem, you need this problem/issue to microsoft, ask their solutions. Kent

Can you advise which operating system you are using? Assuming 32bit windows: Unplug the printer from the USB and try deleting the printer from the printers folder. Then download the latest driver from the Canon web site. Once you have you have it, in the control panel go to SYSTEM and into HARDWARE tab and then DEVICE MANAGER. Look under UNIVESAL SERIAL BUS CONTROLLERS and check that there are NO yellow symbols. If there are yellow symbols you need to remove the offending item from the list (making a note of it's description) and then reboot your machine. When it comes back up it should advise that new hardware has been found and go through the process of installing the drivers. You can now go the manufacturers web site and download the USB controller driver for your device. If the file is a zip extract it to a folder on your PC. When it asks if it can go online to find a suitable driver, let it do so and you can also specify a location for it look (where you extracted the download above) Once it finds the driver required and has finished installing it, reboot your system and then install the printer driver you just downloaded. Hopefully this will get you back on the go. If you have a windows 64 bit system I'm afraid you are on your own. 64 bit drivers that work are very hard to come by. Let us know if this is any use to you, if not we may more to offer.

SOURCE: HP Laser Jet 4350tn issue
Take the paper out of the trays and check the trays mechanism, lift the tray by hand and make sure nothing is obstructing the movement or something broken.

SOURCE: HP psc 1210 will not print
Please check the printer status at control panel printer properties if it is offline or ready. Restart your computer if necessary, you will notice all pending jobs will be printed as long as there is no problem with the connections of cables and drivers. Note: Do not cancel printing jobs in the middle of sending data mode to printer or queing instead you have to remove all papers on tray and wait for the error "paper out or empty" then there click Cancel. Hopes this helps.

There may just be some type of configuration issue going on if you don't have a drive installed in this printer. If there is no drive installed the printer drivers may be functioning as if there's one present which results in this error. I'm providing you with a few possible solutions as it is more difficult to pinpoint an issue when you don't have access to the device.
If it is a configuration issue you can try these steps:
1. Mopier mode should be disabled.
Right-click printer then click properties.
You should find a device settings tab...scroll down to mopier
mode and make sure it's disabled.
2. Printer Hard Disk should be disabled.
Right-click printer then click properties.
Go to the Device Settings tab...scroll down to Printer Hard Disk
and make sure it's disabled.
3. If you had to disable one or both features then the very last thing that you want to do is try printing a multiple page document to see if this worked.
If you check these two settings and find that both the mopier mode and printer hard disk are disabled then you can try this:
Click this sentence to follow the link to HP's driver and software page for the 4600 series printers. Find your operating system in the list and click on it. This will bring you to the page with drivers, firmware, and additional software provided for your printer type. Try downloading the drivers (unless you have the installation CD) and reinstalling the printer. Also, make sure that you have the latest Service Pack installed for your operating system. If you're using Windows XP then the latest Service Pack is 3.
Hope this helps. I work with HP printers and sometimes I have to try more than one solution before I find the right fix.
Please share your experience by rating this solution and thanks for using Fixya.
