Question about Tomtom GO 910

1 Answer

TT 910 has no maps & h2 change language

I recently bought a TT 910 on ebay which lost all its maps when the previous owner was updating the unit. I now want to load some maps on it and don't know where to start. I have copied the contents of the unit and formatted the unit. I have downloaded some stuff from TT home (like voices and color schemes etc..) and not the maps.

I have tried downloading some maps from some peer-to-peer sites now. Can anyone tell me how to get them installed on my unit.

Also can anyone tell me how to change the language of this unit as its currently set to some european language. When I switch on the unit, it comes up with a message 'no maps found' in some european language and doesn't do anything when I tap on the screen. The display shows the current time on the top right corner and some text (in european language) on the top left corner.

Pls ask me if you want to know anymore details about this query...

Thanks guys,

I have exactly the same problem. Bought my tt910 from ebay, worked fine until i updated it. Now when I turn it on, it has no map. When I hook it up to my computer and open up tomtom, it says map is on device, have tried loading map on device again and yet it still says no map found on tt910 when i activate it.

any suggestion would be greatly appreciated.

I tried to update my map on my tomtom n14644 but now it seems that I lost my previous map. I bought the automatic update map wich causes problem since my n14644 did not have enough memory.I want my map (...

you should download a new one, for your region, to change it and put in the navigator. and, for the future, every time before you make some changes, save all the content in one folder on your pc.

You can't because tom tom links the user name to the GPS unit so you should contact the previous owner.

Go to Sign on and register your unit with them. This will give you access to map updates and free unit software updates.

I don't have the Eu. map preloaded on my T.T.910 T.T. is playing games, trying to sell me the map. No way Jose ! Who's got a solution ?

Usually you have to buy the maps unless they are preloaded. The 910 should have the US, CDN and Europe preloaded, so stand your ground and write a brimstone-smelling letter to the TT HQ. You should have the maps with the unit. If not installed, at least on a disk or a download voucher.

Does changing the fuel map smooth the power delivery

A power commander won't help as I believe it is an issue with timing and not fuel delivery. I bought my 2000 and it came with a Power Commander. I tried messing with the fuel with little change in the results. I recently bought a 2002 ecu on ebay and swapped it in. It runs a lot smoother down low although the 5k-6k area feels a little flat so maybe I'll increase fuel there. I really should get it dynotuned at some point. If you're willing to swing the money, buy a Tuneboy instead of a power commander.
