As far as I can tell from this; you could have either one of two problems.
1. Your guitars output or amps input could be loose. This happened to me with my bass. All you have to do to fix that is get into the electronics (usually accesed behind plates with screws), find where the cord goes and pinch the two clips together to make the fit tighter
2. There could be a problem with your power; which could possibly originate from the socket itself, a loose attachement of the power cable to the amp, or a loose cable inside the amp. Id reccomend plugging some other electronics into the wall and seeing if their power dims, if they dont then plug in and unplug the part of the cord that attaches to your amp and if that doesnt work you'll need to take i in to an expert to look at the internals of it.

It may be the line current at those venues.

If you have a lightweight switchmode supply, you can try adding some ferrites to the power cord from the wall. but you almost need to switch to an older style heavy transformer supply for reliablity. It is my guess there is a great deal of noise on the supply current at those vehues you have had problems at. That noise does not play well with switchmode.

I was playing away with my EZ-200 keyboard and before I knew it, the power went off. When I tried to switch it on again, the light came on for a second then went off again. I haven't been able to play...

It is UNCLEAR if the utility power went off or the keyboard just turned off. Assuming the latter, things to check are that the power cord is seated. They chronically come part way out. Verify power from adapter is good. If by chance you are running this on batteries, the action you describe is what hapens when batteries are exhausted. They recover enough for a brief flash and that is it. Also if using an adapter, it may store a little energy and if your wall plug happens to lose power the action would be typical. Plug a lamp into outlet to make sure it is hot.

If you just bought it, exercise your warranty. Don't risk voiding the warranty. Make sure you have the guitar input cable plugged in as this turns on the battery or power to the unit.

I have a Casio CTK 551 Keyboard, when the AC adaptor is connected and power is turned on, the Keyboard lights up for a few seconds then turns off. I noticed no red light lights up when the AC adaptor is...

The adapter has a problem... likely a poor connection of input power that briefly contacts building up some voltage that is then stored in the capacitors in the adapter which then discharge quicklly when you turn on the Casio. The adapters with FIXED blades OFTEN have problems contacting the connections in wall receptacles and extension cords. You may need to bend the blades slightly or use a better receptacle like connector. IF your adapter has a three wire cord from it to the wall receptacle, those SOMETIMES don't seat well...

I woulld not even venture a guess as to what brand/model/ etc you have. How do you expect us to have any idea to help you?

I will say that a very common problem is if the unit, whatever type it is, has a power adapter, it is COMMON for the plug to work loose... If your unit has a regular cord, then there are likely fuse(s) inside, but if they blow, there is another problem that must be repaired before fuses are replaced.

Does the unit have any lights or displays that show power is on? If nothing is lit, then VERIFY that the cord is plugged in at both ends... ANOTHER problem is that SOME wall receptacles are switched... intended for floor lamps and if one has the switch off the receptacles is dead...

Again, you haven't given us enough info to really help you...

Power problem. not sure if it is the cord or the plug.

You need to use a voltmeter to test the cord and plug.

Often cords break at flexure points. Plugs can be replaced.

You sometimes can get the culprit to show itself by pushing the cord together at points that seem weak or soft.
