Question about Philips DVR-1
There's a high pitch squeal coming from the disc tray area. When player is in the "on" position, squeal goes away. Is this noise normal?
I had the same problem, it is a Diode on the Power Supply Board. The Location number is D1054, you should change C1051 also. It maybe leaky. I used a 10v 1000uf capacitor instead of the 6.3v 1000uf it had. Make sure to be careful when changing these components, making sure the polarity is right. Good Luck!
