Shindaiwa leaf blower EB8520 loose power every 5 secondes for 5 secondes

The blower run like new, start easy everytime. Good/clean air filter and pre-filter, new spark plug, new air breather(just install). It realy look like it run out of air(plug air filter) or can't pump gas due to no air intake on gas tank. I try with no air filter....same thing.

Hi, I have a Shindaiwa EB8520 backpack blower. The unit starts right up but when I give it full throttle the blower motor begins to die out ,then I give it throttle and the motor picks up speed for a few seconds and then starts to die again. The unit had been running fine before. Any thoughts would be appreciated. Thank you

SOURCE: PoulonPro Leaf Blower will not run properly

the carb has a screen in it it needs to be cleaned out the fuel gets crystalized in the carb when it sits for a while. and if the carb has a high and low on the carb meaning 2 screws on the side of the carb .one is for air and the other is for fuel try this first start it up and give it full throttle and turn the high adjustment till it does something screw it in slowley and or out till it is at full rpm sometimes the adjustment screws do vibrate there way out of adjustment .if it dont work then take the carb apart to clean out the screen

SOURCE: Leaf blower will not run good. Only runs at full chike or half ch

If the trimmer is more than 3 to 4 years old, you may want to replace the carburetor parts, (new carb. kit). It also depend on the amount of use.
If it is newer than that, then you will need to disassemble the carb. and spray with carb. cleaner. Make sure that the small screen in the carb. is free of debris. Use a Den tek Brush,
(http://www.drugstore.com/products/prod.asp?pid=165357&catid=1152), to clean the small portals in carb. Reassemble and start.
If you need further assistance, just let me know.

SOURCE: echo gas leaf blower bog down

Likely dirt in high speed needle valve(H); could be leaky fuel line(air leaking in), plugged fuel filter, pinched fuel line, etc - anything restricting flow of fuel. Likely, you aggravated an existing problem by cleaning the air filter which would have been providing some choke effect if it were partially plugged.

Where is the fuel air mixture screw on a shindaiwa backpack blower

Look on the side of the carb. they are there. You will probably need to remove the air cleaner form the carb to see them and then you may need a special tool to adjust them due to the EPA covers on the screws. Hope this helps.

Toro lawn mower troubleshooting

Clean the carb, gas tank and fuel line (s). Replace air filter with a new one, I wouldn't recommend that you run it without the filter because that allows dirt and grass debri to enter the carb, fuel line and gas tank.
Replace the plug with a new one that is recommended for your engine.
Check oil level.

Other option is lawn mower repair shop....

Hope this helps, I had the same problem.

I have a Echo leaf blower and I can get it running but then it's cuts off after just a few seconds. It has new plug, air filter and fuel filter. What else could it be?

The carburetor could be dirty and need a good cleaning and you could first remove the fuel pump cover (cover without the vent hole) to the carburetor and look for the small, round, fine-mesh screen. Sometimes it gets covered with dirt and debris and has to be cleaned as it allows the fuel to flow into the metering side of the carburetor.

What is wrong with a Toro GTS5 that starts well but dies 5-10 seconds later. I have changed the spark plug, air filter and oil. New gas too. Any suggestions? Thanks.

I had a similar problem. I'll bet I took off the carb. 5 - 6 times and cleaned it with no success. Very fustrating! One time while checking the fuel level I accidently left off the gas cap, I started it and while running I put the gas cap back on and started to mow and about 10 seconds it died. I thought could'nt be! So I loosened the cap, restarted and it kept running. Any way the small vent hole was plugged. Thats my story!. Good luck.

Shindaiwa Blower - when throttle pushed, engine sounds flooded and it dies. any thoughts on how to fix?

Its not flooded- its lean.
Heres a way to test me. Try to give it throttle but keep it running. At the same time slowly close the choke. does it run better as you close the choke? Does it run pretty good on half choke?
Rebuild the carb, replace the fuel lines and fuel filter.

My husqvarna 225B leaf blower starts easy when cold and runs fine for about 5 min. then quits. Very hard to start after that.

A few possibilities, first check the tiny little vent hole in the gas cap for a clog.Second, check the fuel filter in the tank. Third, remove the muffler and inspect the piston for scores and that the rings are free, remove ant carbon build up from the exhaust port. If the trouble persists its time to go into the carb, The pump and metering diapgragms will harden over time and loose their elasticity and cause this problem also
