SOURCE: My Citizen Eco Drive watch stopped keeping time

If an accumulator is the same as a capacitor, then yes. The capacitor is no longer charging as it should. About $49 US is what mine cost.

My casio protrek 2500t watch is in power saving mode but even after keeping in dark for hours between 10pm and 6 am the display does not go off. Please help.

I own the same PRW-2500-1A (all black).Check if under the hours reading, PS appears. If yes, power saving function is activated.
Normally, Power Saving Function is enabled automatically (if activated) if the watch stays in complete dark for sometime. If after a couple of hours in the dark the watch comes suddenly under bright light, the display goes on immediately.Hour interval (10pm-6am) has nothing to do with Power Saver.
Try the following:
a)Deactivate and reactivate (or vice versa) the PS.
b)Leave the watch in the dark for a couple of hours .Then, still in the dark, try, using a very low power light (just that you can, barely read) to check if display is blank. If not you may have a problem with the light sensor found at the bottom of the display. Will be a very rare case but you have to take the watch to a CASIO authorized service.

How do brighten the dial so I can see the time in the dark. The watch was in direct sunlight 3 days & I still cannot see thedial in the dark!

At one time luminescent dials were made with Radium Luminous paint with a half-life of 1600 years so the "glow" didn't go away soon. And getting enough of the material to cause it to glow sufficiently was dangerous to the wearer. Since then Tritium mixed with zinc sulfide was substituted. Please see:

Later, non-radioactive materials were used. Unfortunately, all these materials decay and are less efficient. If you have a small flashlight you can hold it to the face of the watch and it will then get brighter...for a while. But, soon it will fade again. Holding the watch under a light for a long time won't help. The reason is that the material can't hold a "charge" and the excited materials have lost much of their ability to luminesce.

Why my watch not display or blank after keep for long time

As this is a solar powered watch, there is the PS (Power Saver) function.
If PS is ON (which is by default) display will become blank if watch stays in the dark for sometime. As you bring it back in light, display will be activated automatically. You can switch PS to OFF and have display activated all the time even in dark (not recommended) but in this case battery will run short quickly. And this watch needs power as it is a multifunction watch + atomic time setting.

Watch does not glow in the dark

Is it suppose to glow in the dark? You don't give any information about the watch, make, model, age. If it was suppose to glow in the dark and it is old, that function may have deteriorated beyond normal limits.

Have yo sat your watch in strong sunlight for several hours then checked the glow in the dark feature? Is this a watch that glows as the result of a light in the watch powered by a battery that may be weak?

I suggest you take your watch to a jeweler in your area and have it gone over to assure proper operation.

U.S. Polo Watch (US8170 on back)trying to keep the light on

All watches are preprogrammed for all the functions, so, there is no possibility to make it glow for longer or continuously unless you press and hold the light button or just repeatedly push it again and again. Do not forget that prolonged use of light function will shorten watche's battery life significantly.

After extensive exposure to daylight, the watch runs for approx 20 minutes and then stops. What is the approximate time for the first charge?

It should not actually stop, the battery should keep it going for at least three years, but the display (moving parts) will not function till the watch is again brought out into the light, it should then catch up with itself.
I would leave it exposed to strong light for at least 24 hours, it might need longer.
Has the watch been kept in the dark for a very long period ???
