My Braun coffee maker has a broken switch and I would like to find someone to repair it.  Do you know who in my area repairs Braun coffee makers?  I live in Chapel Hill, NC.

I have a Braun Type 3095 coffee maker. I see no way to open it to replace the switch myself. I will be more than happy to replace the switch myself if I know where to get one and how to get into the coffee maker.

- It is so sad we have become such a society that fills landfills instead of respects our environment. The day will come and that will change and fixit folks will rule. :)

Please post the model number of coffee maker.

Chances are, this is a simple pop-out switch that can easily be replaced by yourself as any basic coffee maker is not worth having it repaired. The switch cost is minimal, the labor and overhead to repair is where the expense is.

You can email Customer Service at Braun www.braun.com, give them you model number, and see if they will sell you a switch, but these unit's are made to be throwaway.

I just looked at the unit at Braun's website, and they don't show any replacement parts except for having to do with the caraffe.

I know, it's hard to let go of a perfectly good coffee maker like this, but, it's how the world has become.

- I did find a Braun repair shop in South Carolina, if you want to burn the gas to go down there. But by the time you do all that, gas, repair, time, then you could have bought a coffeemaker 4 times better.

And your right, filling the landfills is not a good idea, and I am not a tree hugger. Litigation is what causes this to be as much a problem as everything else does.
