On my kobalt digital air compressor i have 150
This was a poor design for kobalt with digital readouts.. The compressor waqs made by several comanies including campbell hausfield and porter cable, But some were imported.
There under the controls is a switch that cuts out the motor, It looks like an oil pressure switch on older cars. There is also a manifold tree that holds the guages and the regulator. There will also be a circuit board that holds the electronics for the regulator control.
Remember you have to set a value to bring up the pressure and the board senses the tank pressure and "Bleeds" off via a solenoid to hold the pressure. The ticking sound you hear is the solenoid, ITs not repair/replacable.. its part of the controls.
If the unit is under warranty you might eant to ask lowes who is their off site repair center, or ask is it available to be exchanged.
Personally, and professionally.. this model is oiless, so it has a shorter life as to being reliable compared to oil lubrication. For the extra bucks you will come out with a more reliable and easier to service model.
