Question about Toshiba PORTEGE R830-10Q
There should be a battery on the motherboard which keeps the BIOS memory. Remove it (and the main battery of course)and press the power on button ( I would give the laptop some time for residual current to drain anyhow say 5 or 10mins overnight if you want to be really certain. You should find that the BIOS resets when you try to boot everything back up.

When you turn on the computer, press the F2 key when prompted to enter the setup. If you don't get a prompt, then press and hold the Esc key for three seconds.
