This solution works with the following Acer models on Vista 64.
FlatbedScaner5 ="Acer scanner 310U/620U" FlatbedScaner13="Acer 320U/340U/620U+/640U" FlatbedScaner16="Acer scanner 620UT+/640UT" FlatbedScaner19="Acer scanner 1240UT/5100U" FlatbedScaner20="Acer scanner 640BT/640BU" FlatbedScaner21="Acer scanner 4300U/3300U" FlatbedScaner23="Acer scanner 4300U/3300U"
The driver package includes the following files with file sizes ahead.
108,032 acerscad.dll 3,269 acerscan.inf 24,192 ksthunk.sys 451 Model.ini 17,683 sti.inf 30,663 u126v041.bin 30,598 u176v040.bin 32,301 u190v041.bin 31,664 u192v073.bin 30,221 u222V065.bin 27,984 u34v110.bin 31,364 u64v119.bin 31,048 u96v121.bin 27,648 usbscan.sys
All these files are derived from those on Windows XP64. Maybe it works on Vista 32.

If the scanners keeps blinking while powering on, it is because it has not been intialised. Check for loose shreds of paper in the paper path. Unless the scanner intialises, it cannot scan. If simpel 'countonly' option works, then the scanner is okay.
