The digital cameras capture images with number of pixels that that image sensor allows. They usually dont have DPI adjustment. However you can adjust capture resolution from 5 Mega Pixel to 1.1 Mega Pixel. Please refer to Page 24 and 25 on the following Owners Manual for this camera.
slide the switch on the side of the camera to camera mode
press the on screen display button (second up from the bottom right of the camera body
there should be an icon in the bottom right of the display which says 10.1
select this option and press the return key
if you still only have a 8 mega option, then according to sony's tecko's you don't have an N2 you have its predesessor which was 8 mega pix max.
p.s. why would you need 10 meg pikkys unless you were printing up A2 posters or bigger ?
