Look in the instruction book, or on the threading diagram printed on the machine. You will see it when you open the panel on the right (the door that swings down when you thread the serger).

Did it jam while stitching, or after a long period of no use, so the handwheel just does not turn ?

If the former, look here for notes on how to untangle the mess.

If it just won't move at all after some long time without use,

Have a vacuum cleaner and small brush ready when you...

Take the base off, there may be a load of lint, so be careful where you choose to do this !

Once you clear out all the loose and clinging old oil and lint "clag".......you can use methylated spirit or similar ethanol based solvent......Use a penetrating spray luricant sparingly amongst the metalwork of the lower shaft and cams.

Try a little movement of the handwheel back and forth without forcing anything too much, sometimes it will free up quickly, if not, put the kettle on, have a nice cup of tea and come back in 30mins and give handwheel a bit more of a go as above.if this still won't seem to improve, you may find you need to allow the penetrating lube to do its work for longer....try overnight....I have had to wait for up to 3 days on an old overlocker that lived in a damp garage near the coast before any signs of life came.

If you need more detail, or this is not getting to your problem, post again and give an update or a more detailed description of what happened when the event occured

How can I set the right tension on an overlocker globe lock m-34?

The right tension on an overlocker will vary depending on the result that you want. The standard tension for just a plain 4-thread overlock stitch would generally have all the thread tensions set at the halfway mark between the high and lower number. From that point, you may need to tighten or loosen each thread tension to get all the threads to stitch evenly.

Probably the best advice would be consult your owner's manual. It should have instructions on adjusting the tensions and what to look for.

Another suggestion would be to search YouTube for a video that shows how to adjust overlocker tension.

I'm not sure how to thread my machine, I lost my manual elna lock pro 5Dc

I would suggest that you buy a new manual for this as your overlocker has 5 threads that need to be threaded up correctly to form a stitch and there are several different stitches that can be made with this model such as a rolled hem, chain stitch, three thread overlock, four thread overlock and safety stitch with three thread overlock, lots to learn.

You can buy a manual here for $USD14.99: http://www.sewingpartsonline.com/instruction-manual-elna-pro5dc.aspx
or this website has a copy for $USD10.
http://www.sewusa.com/Sewing_Machine_Manuals/Elna_Manuals/Pro_4DC_DE_Instruction_Manual.htm

Always well worth buying the manual and saving a lot of frustration trying to guess how things work and it adds value if you are going to sell the item.

You can get some general overlocker threading tips from http://sewing.about.com/od/sergersoverlock/ss/serger.htm which may help you too.
