Usually the belt breaks that runs from the motor to the drum. Is it plugged in the wall? Is there power at the wall outlet? Try a different drying area selection.

Dryer is about 5 years old. Has begun to squeak loudly when clothes begin to spin

Are you comfortable taking the dyer apart? There are just a few simple screws to remove. It sounds like a bad blower wheel. If you follow the link you should be able to trouble shoot the issue.

Dryer quit spinning.

If the blower is working, then it's most likely the belt, a belt pulley or a tensioner spring.
Open the dryer, it will power off, and then spin the drum by hand. If it moves with little resistance, it's your belt.

My spin dryer is very clunky?

These drums are blanced on two very slim fuzzy gaskets. It sounds as though one of them(usually the front) has worn out. Reach into the dryer when empty and push repeatedly up at the 12:00 position. If you feel any play then that most likley, is your problem. They can be purchased seperately and installed quite simply if you are at all mechanically inclined. Let me know please! Thanks, Dana

Dryer heats but quit spinning

Your belt has come off or has broken. Do you hear the motor running? If so, then the belt is broke or off.

Can't get replacement parts back on Kenmore 60 series dryer.

The belt has groves, right? Make sure the groves go over the motor pulley from the right. The idler pulley is spring loaded. Place the belt around the idling pulley with the smooth side of the belt on the pulley. This should work.
