Pull out fuser unit and remove the top. ( let machine cool down, VERY HOT!!) does the fuser web need replacing ( looks like a white paper towel roll) it has fuse oil on it. is it overflowing?? try cleaning, do not spill on floor it is very slippery and hard to clean up.

It seems like the toner isn't sticking to the paper, or its too thick and flakes off. Is this a saturation problem, paper stock, or maybe a drum or toner issue? If I rub my fingers over the copy it...

The first question is what kind of paper are you using???? Are you using regular copy paper? Have you gotting any error codes? If you are running plain copy paper in the copier and the toner is flaking off, odds are you are having a problem with the fuser unit. Look to see if the toner is fixed on one side of the the paper and not the other side. Odds are you have a problem with the pressure of the two fuser rollers. You may have a cut in the lower fixing roller or a broken ball bearing... Good Luck

I have this error codecode e000 and 0105 under when i turn on my Canon CLC 1180. where was the fuser user in the CLC? How can i check it?

I think the 1180 is close to the 1120 copier I know. The error code is indicating an upper heater open circuit. The fuser is the very left item when the main drawer is pulled opened to remove a paper jam. There are two handle grips front and rear to remove the assembly. You have to check continuity of the heat lamp, fuses, etc.

Pages print with black linesshowing over about

Sounds like it will either be the drum/blade or the fuser unit.Try turning the copier off when copying just as the paper reaches the fuser.remove the 'jammed' paper from the copier carefully as the image will rub off.If the lines are there then it is more than likely the drum.

you more than likely need the oil blade replaced. others things can be that you have paper jammed up at the top of the fuser which means youll need to open up the fuser.

Canon clc-700 stops copying when paper sticks to drum

Could be one of two things.

Either the transfer / separation corona wire is dirty / broken, or the separation current is set wrong.

or

The drum separation claws aren't moving. Possibly a stuck solenoid.

Error Message E020, 0400 for canon CLC 1120 Color copier. please give your assitance

This error has to do with Toner concentration of the Black ( 04 ) part of the sub code. The "00" has to do with the reference level or signal value for black. Look to see if the Black toner sensor is soiled. You have to swing out the toner hopper assembly to access the sensor. You will see two thin gray cables coming down from under the control panel. Since you have access to both assemblies - toner and paper jam detect - carefully remove both and clean with canned air. Be careful since you are so near to the $800 drum. Replace both and test. If you still have problems and the drum is old, several years, and has over 40,000 copies on it, you may have to have the drum changed and I recommend a tech do it. Good Luck.
