How can i fix my hitachi ultravision it has green and double vision on top of screen

If your LCD TV or monitor has stopped working, or is displaying one of the following symptoms, then it's a candidate for some new capacitors
- Flickering screen
- Screen image disappears after several seconds
- Dim screen
- Slow start
- Power LED on, but no picture
- Unusual colors and/or lines
The primary cause of LCD TV and monitor failure is caused by faulty capacitors. You can examine the capacitors in your LCD TV or monitor and actually see if they are bad.
If they appear bulged on top, then they need to be replaced.
New capacitors will solve a host of problems in LCD monitors and TV's and will extend the life of your monitor or TV by several years.
Check the cables, connectors and connections.
Take it to a repair shop.

Color shadowing on screen

I had similar symptoms about a year ago. Also came on sudden. The red convergence chip had burned out (poor heat sinking on this model Hitachi). Replacing the color convergence chips fixed it. ($50 for parts.) First, however, have you tried the "magic focus" function? That's explained in the manual, which is available online IIRC, but I'd have to look for the link if you need it.

Dark Color on TV. Can't adjust the color correctly

Having same problem now for a second time on a 57T500. First time was a bad green bulb that was covered under warranty. Only lasted 2 years....currently debating wether to fix or buy a new set. Bulbs cost about $300. Set is only 5 years old, so very dissapointed with quality.

Color problem with Sony Grand WEGA 42WE655

Hello,

Well, there probably isn't any relation between the two problems occuring exept for the timing. Magnetism won't affect a rear projection LCD.

I would say that your description is a bit odd, though. Usually on this model, there is a blue blob that shows up, eventually turning into a blue haze, and a star pattern of stuck pixels. It almost sounds like you have a bad set of component cables. On the SXRD's, they usually turn green.

Does it do it on all inputs (including the channels)? If it does, then it is the optical block. If it does not, then I would suspect that it is cable-related. If it is the optical block, then there is no way that any input can be different from the others (except for digital/analog differences, but those are usually obvious with patterns vertically on the screen).

If it does not look the same on all inputs or channels, change out whatever cables you are using. A loss of the red or blue cable in a component can give the symptoms you describe.

I hope this helps you...
