Question about Compaq Presario R3000Z Notebook
After powering on the unit the compaq screen comes on and then is replaced with the message " a disk read error occured, press ctrl+alt+del" I was thinking c-mos battery but even after going into setup and accepting those parameters it never gets past this message in the boot up cycle.
I htink there is a virus in your computer. try kespersky antivirus and make a scan for threats. i know that it can slow down your computer but it is the powerfull one. send me your response at firstname.lastname@example.org

a 6ya expert can help you resolve that issue over the phone in a minute or two.
best thing about this new service is that you are never placed on hold and get to talk to real repairmen in the US.
the service is completely free and covers almost anything you can think of (from cars to computers, handyman, and even drones).
click here to download the app (for users in the US for now) and get all the help you need.

Tips for a great answer:
Press the "Enter" button.
Click "Launch Setup" when the Windows Setup page appears. When you click this choice and not the "Boot Legacy operating system" selection, you will not receive the "disk error" message any longer.
Adhere to the directions on your screen to finish the process of reinstallation.
hope this helps
