When I turn on phone the screen says "Phone Lock" and asks for a 8 digit password. I go through cingular and they told me to call samsung. I called samsung and they told me to call my provider. CAN I PLEASE JUST GET THE CODE!!!!!
Insert ANY unaccepted SIM card in the phone and then turn the phone on, follow the steps in 1 to 4 below to enter all the codes. The phone will states "Wrong card" at the end of step 2 and "network lock deactivated" at the end of step 4 if you do everything right so pls take your time to enter the code or follow the instruction correctly at each step. When entering some of the zeros at steps 3 and 4 your phone may display the zero as hyphen or minus (-), dont worry, just count when entering the zero to ensure you enter just the right numbers of zeros. Now let's begin...1/ Put any unaccepted SIM card in your SAMSUNG SGH Phone, turn the phone on, it will display "WRONG CARD"
2/ At the wrong card screen, type *7465625*638*00000000*00000000#
3/ Now remove the battery with the SIM card, Put the battery back and turn the phone on again without the SIM card, it will display "Insert SIM card"
4/ At the insert SIM card screen/end of step 3 above type #7465625*638*00000000#
At the end of step 4 phone will show "network lock deactivated"
5/ Now Reinsert your unaccepted card or any other unaccepted SIM card in the phone and enjoy your unlocked phone!

If u enter PIN code incorrectly 3 times, PIN will be blocked n phone will ask you for PUK(Personal Unblocking Key). This is a 8 digit code. If u enter Incorrect PUK for 10 times Your SIM will be lock permanently.
cell phone service provider can(Call from other no. n ask tell them for puk of ur no.) give you the PUK code aft3r answering simple security question. Later enter PUK than enter new PIN, confirm new pin. Go to -Setting -Security -SIM lock -off Disable SIM n Later Phone Lock PS:(You have to block your PIN to get access to PUK, Default PIN- 0000, 12345)
are u asking for the passcode or a pincode
since both are different, passcodes are used to connect your phone to another phone or a device via bluetooth.
pin code is a lock code for your phone, which is a security lock preventing others to misuse your phone..
please specify which one u are looking for???
1. If you have changed your phone password, change your password back to the default 8 zeros (00000000). 1a. NOTE: Go to SETTINGS, SECURITY, then SIM LOCK and disable this before proceeding. 2. Put a SIM card that is from a network other than the one your phone is locked to 3. When Incorrect SIM (I got invalid card and there was a sim card graphic spinning) error comes up, type *#9998*3323#. 4. White screen will appear with an exit option. Press the right softkey. (you may have to push the down key to get a menu) 5. From the menu that appears, select the Malloc Fail option. This will reboot the phone and the normal service screens will appear. 6. Type *0141# and then press the green call key. "Personalization" or "Personalized" will appear. 7. Turn off your phone and put the original SIM back in. 8. Turn on your phone. You will receive a prompt to enter a password. 9. Type 8 zeros (00000000) (This is because the SIM LOCK Mentioned earlier gets switched back on) 10. Completed. You have now unlocked your phone.
this may be what you allready tried, but it worked for me, good luck
The PUK code is (in my case) a an 8 digit number that I must enter to make the phone operable after someone (me) trys to enter my password and fails too many times.
I ran into this a while back before Singular became AT&T. I was locked out and I called Cingular and told the tech my phone was asking for a PUK code. I had to prove to him who I was somehow, I don't remember now how I did that. Maybe with my latest bill or something. Anyway he finally told me the numbers to enter. I wrote the numbers down first and then entered them. I've had to use them a couple of times since to get back in after I've locked myself out. It stays constant once you get the code. I have checked my phone under the battery and under the memory chip and these numbers are nowhere to be found on the phone. I SUGGEST YOU PUT A RECORDER ON YOUR PHONE OR HAVE SOMEONE LISTEN IN AND WRITE DOWN THE CODE WHEN YOU CALL AT&T. IT MAKE ME MAD THAT I OWNED A PHONE BUT AT&T KNEW A SECRET CODE TO MAKE IT OPERABLE. This is however a good feature though. I have my phone password protected so if I lose it and someone finds it they can only use it until they turn off the power one time and then they will get locked out and it will ask for the PUK code. Good luck, call AT&T and remember being nice will get you somewhere more then likely.

With the studio software from samsung you are able to edit and move contacts from your phone to the sim and back. Or copy from the phone and put them on the sim card.
