When the 4 blinks happens its indicating the Vertical deflection has stopped thats. usually caused by the Vertical out IC1509 (LA78045) and Verticak Buffer Q5A51 (2SC3311A) If you need further assistance let me know.

SOURCE: I have a Sony KP-43T75

HI,

A 4 flash shutdown is a vertical stop condition, meaning that the vertical deflection circuit is shutting down. You need to purchase the service manual from :-

http://www.tradebit.com/filedetail.php/5018366-sony-kp-43t75-kp-48s75-color

Once you have the manual, check the plus and minus 15 volt supplies on the G board. They are fused and the fuses are the easiest place to check them. If the fuses are blown, I would be thinking a bad convergence IC, as that is a common failure on these sets.

Let me know,if needed further assistance.

Hope i helped you.

Thanks for using ' Fixya ' and have a nice day!!

SOURCE: No power

It sounds like the backlight or an inverter board on the television may have failed. Check your warranty status on the television to see if you can get it repaired by the manufacturer for free.

SOURCE: SONY-LED BLINKS 10 TIMES

OK, 10 times is HV protection (High Voltage) and problem can be in D board and Q8013, Q8014 can be shorted along with R8051 open.
also IC8005 can be damaged.
All above parts on D board.
I would recommend to get related service manual for proper diagnose of problem in TV.
Good luck.

SOURCE: good morning, i have a 50

You might have a bad lamp. RCA DLP projection That is the most comon problem with them. CRT rear projection, Red,Green, and Blue tubes. If it is the silver one w/the black speaker grill. Chass # _ _ _222 ?
Has 222 in the number. Can be several problems. Many things go wrong in those. Horz. Output,Flyback,And bad soldering are the most common problems w/those. Recomend staying away from RCA. Not the same company they once were.

SOURCE: i have a rear projection

From what you have said , Replace both of your STK ICs they are big black ICs will have part number on them example STK392-110
Go by the number printed on them if they are 110s use the 180s they are better ICs Mats has them for $10.95 each 1-800-628-1118

Also go to this website/use Google Encompass Parts Distrubtion
1-800-638-3328 sometimes they will have free service manuals you can print out.

Another thing you need to CK pico fuses they will look like resistors only they are green or yellow 5amp/ 6amp fuses Look in front of ICs and some are located behind ICs.

Unless you have alot of test equipment and alot of patience, it might just pay to put in a new one seeing you have it out already.

I have a Sony color rear video projector model# KP-43T75 it's blinking for time won't stop I checked for the Bolges on the black piece there is none and it turns on no sound or picture and shuts it se

First let me say that you did good checking for bad capacitors that might have bulges. They can fail with no outward signs though. You have to use a special meter to check them. Second that light means:
Vertical deflection stopped. Possible causes: +- 15V is not supplied. (D board), IC8003 is faulty. (A board) Symptoms of the problem: TV has entered standby state after horizontal raster, Vertical deflection pulse is stopped, Power line is shorted or power supply is stopped.

Your best course of action would be a new power supply board.

KP-57WS520 Sony Projector - No picture

Hi,
5 times blinks shows incorrect white balance (AKB) error. TV needs Screen Volts (G2) adjustment.
Take off lower front panel, find Focus Block that has 6 control knobs, adjust Screen volts of each CRT (red-green-blue) and problem will be solved.
Be Careful while working in TV.
Let me know if you have further question.
Thanks.

Sony KP-43T75 color repair

This link has the instructions on how to fix this problem and other similar problems. You have nothing to lose, so I recommend that you try it.

http://www.somelifeblog.com/2007/06/sony-projection-tv-red-line-repair.html

This works with the two other colors, blue and green also. Not all models of Sony Projection TVs have the red, green, and blue pots in the same order as the picture that is listed on this link, so you may want to google search for your model's service manual. The service manual can also help you be able to remove the cover for your particular model of TV. I was able to find the service manual for my model, and sure enough, the order of the pots are reversed on mine, so I would have been adjusting the wrong color. Read all of the comments on this link too, because you can find other helpful tips and may even find someone with the same model of TV as you that gives more specific instructions for your model.

You may also find your model's service manual here:

I hope this helps you!

Fare well. :)

Sony tv blinks 30+ times or once, no picture/no sound, then shuts off

sounds like a problem in the stand by power supply as the Set is not blinking any code indicating its in protective shut down. I would assume its one of the low voltage regulators that has shorted. You would need a service manual to actually troubleshoot the start up and stanby voltages. Let me know if you would like a link where to purchase the manual. I will post a link that provide free tech assistance to help diagnose and repair your set when you get a manual.

Tv went blank

Does the timer/stand-by light blink at all? If so, count how many times it does. It will usually be in intervals. If it isn't blinking, and you have nothing on the screen, you might have a problem with the "G" Board, part # A1316499A.
