Venturer Tv to Sky

It sounds like your TV is on the wrong input. Look for a button that says input or source. Depending on the TV this will either provide an onscreen menu to select an input or it will simply scroll through the inputs. Turn on the Sky box and run through the inputs until you see something that looks like your Sky Box.

Can't find input setting on old proscan tv. tried channels 90/91/92. only white fuzz

You are trying to connect the TV by AV setup. You have to select the input selection to TV to AV. If the TV have a Menu button on its front panel, you can enter into its menu options, surf through, and select the input selection window. Here you can select input to AV.
If there is no 'Menu' button on the front panel of the TV, you can'd do this selction. You must have its remote control to select this option.

Dish tv 2 works but only very fuzzy on channel 56 dvr

ssmike1,

It sounds like you may have just switched off the channel to view satellite.

The channel for satellite is based on the connection you're using. If you're using a coax connection, it should be on channel 3/4 or 62. If you're using video cables like RCA/HDMI then you'll need to switch the input. On the upper left of the remote should be a TV/Input button. Make sure you're in TV mode and press that to see if picture returns.

If the problem continues let me know and I would be happy to try some additional steps!

I just need a diagram to show me how to hook the dvd/vcr up to my television. I have Dishnetwork as well. I un-hooked and now I can't get a picture.

Not knowing the model of the TV its hard to tell you how to hook it up. Howeever let's assume that yu TV has an auido in and a composite video input. it it does is should have three RCA jacks on the back...one red, one white and one yellow.

Assuming Dishnetwork is being used as a analog video.

Connect the VCR/DVD player via a patch cable ( usually has three cable all color coded, red, white & yellow) Red and White section is used for the audio Left and Right. The yellow cable is video.

Connect the audio out of the VCR/DVD player to the audio input on the TV. Do the same with the videoout of the VCR/DVD to the TV may be marked "Composite Video". Now connect your Dish Network receiver RF Out to the TV. This should be a coaxal cable.

Now when you want VRC/DVD use your remote and select input. Some older TV's have the aux input just before Ch 2. Some remotes have an input button.

once you have aux inpsut selected turn on the dvd and play your movie to view Dish go to Ch 3 or 4 depending on how your TV and system is set up.

Again not knowing the model TV you have, this is a general hook up.

Thank you Let us know if it helps

When I switch on the unit, i can hear the sound but there is no picture

Hi! Welcome to Fixya!

If you are unable to view video on your television set, the issue may be that the TV's video input selection does not match.

The TV input source must match how the device for example DVD player is connected to the TV. At the back of Samsung's LN40A650A HDTV are three HDMI inputs, plugs for component input, an antenna input for the DTV receiver and a VGA input. Please check on what port the device is plug.

To correct the issue, use the TV's remote control and change the video input selection.
  • Press the Menu button on the remote control and navigate to TV Input
  • Only ones that are actually connected are highlighted and available.
  • If there are multiple device connected please make sure you select the device you want to connect.
You may also check if all cables are properly connected.

Thank you.

When I switch from watching movie to watch TV on my Harmony 700 I get a picture on the TV that looks like the menu for the AV receiver and can't get back to a TV picture although I do have sound. I...

Hi, I would like you to try changing the input selection method for your TV. I suspect that some of the commands are incorrect.

1. In the software, click 'Settings' next to the icon for your TV.
2. Click 'Adjust Inputs'.

Make sure you select the method that best describes how the original remote changes inputs. Dont pay attention to the brand names. Also, make sure that the input list is EXACTLY the same in the software as on the TV itself.

Once you have done all of the input setup, update the remote and try it out again.

Let me know if that helps :)

Is there an input select?

I can view channels but cannot view a DVD from the TV/DVD Disney Princess Combo. Only see static on the screen with no sound. I wonder if I need to change the input select to view a movie but cannot find a button on the TV or remote control. I have a 6 button remote which I am sure operates the DVD and another remote with 39 buttons I thought would operate the player as well as the TV. However, so far only the player functions from it. The buttons only have small pictures without words which sometimes leaves some question about purpose. This is a second hand unit. I do not have a manual. It did play movies at first. I think the trouble may have started when I programed cable channels. Any help will be greatly appreciated

To view images on TV

connect the supplied AV cable to the television on a connection that has white and yellow inputs (for monoraul audio and cvbs), then on your television remote, select the associated input. wherever you plug this cable into, check for an input label - something like INn, VIDEOn, AVn (where n is the number) and then on the remote for the television should be a buttons that says something to the effect of INPUT, INPUT SELECT, A/V, AV SELECT, DEVICE, or SOURCE, etc. depending on your model. Once you select the correct input you should see your picture on-screen using the playback or review mode of the camera - the icon that is a quadrilateral w/ rounded corners that has a right-arrow in the center.

Hope this helps. Good luck.
