From what Ican ascertain, the fridges affected were manufactured between January 2000 andOctober 2006 (So, after shipping and sitting around in shops, you can probablyextend that margin to machines SOLD between 2000 and 2008)

If you just bought the unit, probably not as the fault is associated with units manufactured between 2000 and 2006. However, for the sake of completeness (and I'm posting this response on every BEKO defrost question in full rather than pointing people to my previous responses just in case!)
