i see that you tried the chicony camera driver and it did not work, have you tried downloading the Bison Driver for your camera to see if it will work?
also you mentioned that the Fignerprint reader does not work as well, and you also mentioned that you installed XP on the machine. If i may ask what windows do you have originally on your machine before installing XP because on a Lenovo machine it is big NO to install a different version of Windows from what it Originally had for the reason that some device may not be detect even if you are in stalling the correct drivers.
The Lenovo Windows is an OEM Version and does not have the same files like the Microsoft windows some of the OEM files are altered for lenovo purposes only and if you will install a retail version of windows then you may need to update your system BIOS to be able to make some of the system device s work as normal.
try reinstalling the system back to the original windows that it had before, you will again be able to use the Fingerprint reader and the camera using the same driver you had before.
To give you quality results, I need a direct access to your PC.
For that purpose, please install TeamViewer:
Later, you communicate me the information described below:
Hi. Click Here to Download the latest drivers and softwares for your Lenovo N100, just choose the exact model for your lenovo machine and it will output you every drivers for your laptop. Just download them and install it your laptop. Hope This Helps
1) Bring up the device manager. You do that by clicking on Start button and then type 'Device Manager' in the search box. Select the "Device Manager" in the list. 2) In the list of devices, you will see "Chicony USB 2.0 Camera" with yellow bang on it. You will see either code 19 or code 1 as error codes. 3) Right click on the device and then select "Uninstall". 4) In the uninstall dialog, make sure you select the option to delete the driver package from the system. This causes the driver package installed earlier to be deleted. 5) Then in the Action menu of Device manager, select Scan for Hardware changes option. This will cause the device driver to be reinstalled
you should mention the model name of your laptop to find the drivers. For example if you are using a Lenovo notebook 3000 N100, in the google.com you can type Lenovo support and downloads and you will get a site where you can enter your model name and number, operating system you are using and so on and download the drivers freely for your system.
Anyway you can go to device manager and select the webcam; right click on it and select disable option to disable it and stop getting warning messages. You can enable it anytime you want when you get the drivers for it.
