WF Wells F-15 all ID plates are missing, one of my guys let a piece of pipe roll off and pulled the wires out of the junction box on the motor, the Balfour motor has a diagram but only to wire high or low voltage,

I think you should give Wells bandsaw a call to that they can help you out better and they can also send you over a wiring diagram .

Have you check your manual? I believe the wiring diagram can be seen in the manual.

SOURCE: My Delta band saw motor is having issues. I was

I would bet it's the Motor Brushes. They are locaded on the housing of the saw, accesed by unscrewing the plug. The brushes are replaceable and your saw will be fixed.Where to buy replacents could be an issue,Check manufacturer or search power tool replacement motor brushes. If stuck you can try to unscrew the plug the brush is at the bottom engaging the motor armerure, there shoud be a spring keeping contact.Inspect brush condition it looks like a carbon block worn to the curve of the motor.Go online do a search on how electric motors work you'll see exactly what I'm explaining.Cheap part easy fix.Good Luck.

SOURCE: band saw motor won't start just hums

replace the start capacitor located on the motor housing these are brush-less motors and incorporate a capacitor or start or centrifugal switch and both are easily replaced and quite inexpensive

What's the brand and model of your band saw machine? Check out the website of the manufacturer of your band saw , you might be able to ask a manual/ wiring diagram from them. I have once downloaded a wiring diagram from bandsawmanuals.com for my old band saw. Hope that helps.

Replacing switch on 9" task force band saw & need wiring diagram

I couldn't find a manual or wiring diagram available online. A 9" Ryobi band saw looks like the Task Force saw. You may check for it. However, the two saws may have different instructions for the wiring layout. Your best option is call Lowes or see a electrician. They should be able to help you with that.

14" Delta Bandsaw keeps tripping the internal motor breaker.

Hi,
The first thing that I would check is the wiring to the saw. My guess is that the wire to the saw or the cord is not heavy enough.
As saw like that can pull a lot of amps. Probably 15 or more when working hard. What happens is that when the amp draw goes up and the cord is too light, the voltage drops which increases the amps. and starts a vicious cycle...
The one thing that finally gives is the internal overload in your motor.

Try running heavier wire or a heavier extension cord if you are using one.
#12 wire or a 12 wire cord would be minimum, if running over say 50 feet then you should be looking at #10 wire.

I hope that this will help you to solve your problem!

Thanks for using Fixya!!

I bought a craftsman 9" band saw from a neighbor and I need to hook up the switch to a SH cap to the motor. I am unsure of how to hook up the wire diagram? Please help. Antonio

there should be a wiring diagram in the motor case or inside the wiring junction box on the motor, and if like most 120 volt motors it will have 2 wires coming out of the motor case and a cover where the cap is covered / stored on the motor, just hook-up the 2 wires to the cap, either wire on either cap terminal is ok
