Hi! In order for you to use the bluetooth you need a device, if it's built-in unto your laptop then no need. All you have to do is to reinstall the driver which can be found in your utility CD then locate the appropriate driver which the device name of your bluetooth then install and restart. IF it is not built-in, you need to purchase the bluetooth device, its in USB form then plug it in. thats it!

Acer Aspire 3618AWLCi bluetooth

Activate the Bluetooth features of your Acer Aspire to unlock your laptop's wireless function.

Bluetooth technology allows your computer to control and share data with external devices without having to use a connection cable or download drivers. In order to establish the connection with other enabled devices, you must first enable the Bluetooth antenna so other devices can locate your computer.

Press the "Bluetooth" button found just above the keyboard. The LED above the button should illuminate. Click "Start," "Control Panel" and "Add a Device." Your Acer scans for other Bluetooth devices in the area. Click the name of the device in the window that appears, and click "Next" to establish a connection with the external device.

    Bluetooth problem

It doesn't detect the bluetooth device. But what I can't understand is why does the 4020 have the front button if there's no device.

    Thanks again...
