Question about Sansui Audio Players & Recorders
The product code is SAN0100 and the barcode reads 9329474018757. I'm not sure how to turn off the alarm function once it has been set. I can stop the alarm when it goes off, but not permanently. I thought turning the volume to 'off' would have been the obvious solution but the sound from the alarm is not affected. The instructions do not provide any insight. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

On the back of your tower you should have auxillary outputs that will go into your receiver. Get a connection going between the two ports and you should have perfect sound. The sound that comes out of your headphone output will not really have the amount of power that your receiver needs. Hope this helps.

Actually the problem was caused by a bad 470uf cap, that was used to filter the powersupply for all the analog amps. Replaced the cap the unit works like new.

Tips for a great answer:

1* Remove unit and all packing materials from the carton. You should save packing
materials in case unit needs to be returned for service. If you do not wish to save the
materials, please dispose of them properly.
2* Place the unit on a stable, level surface, close to an AC outlet, out of direct sunlight,
and away from sources of dust, dirt, heat, water, moisture, vibration, or magnetic fields.
3* After installing the batteries (see below) and reading the Maintenance notes, plug the
AC cord into an outlet.
"Sure Alarm" Battery Backup Installation
It is strongly recommended that 2 "AA" batteries be installed into the unit, as directed below,
in order to activate this product's "Sure Alarm" Battery Backup feature. (The model should
come with two batteries already installed.) In the event that the AC power cord is disconnected
or a power failure or other interruption occurs, the "Sure Alarm" Battery Backup will maintain
clock and alarm settings for the life of the battery, ensuring that the alarm (buzzer only) will
sound at the set time. During any interruptions the time and alarm settings will be saved
and automatically restored when AC power is again active.
1* Gently turn the unit over and remove the battery
2. Install 2 "AA" batteries (alkaline is recommended for
longer life), while making sure that the + and - ends
match up with those inside the battery compartment.
3* Slide the battery compartment door back on, making
sure the door locks into place, and gently return the
unit to its upright position.

This SmartSet® Clock Radio includes a Sure Alarm battery back-up circuit that can

Pressing the SNOOZE button has no effect during Sure Alarm operation.
Note: In order to maximize the life of the built in lithium battery, please be sure
