Hi. The problem i have on an SG71 mother board is that there is no audio software installed.
When i i go to manage and see which compenents are missing drivers, on the audio it doesn't show that there is anything missing. What it shows is only midi drivers and unimodem drivers for audio, but the computer doen't work on those. Even if i remove the modem and try, it wont pick up the audio device and install appropriate drivers.
Formating reviews the same result.
Also are there jumpers that i need to know about!?

Well if it a n on board audio device, first install the Mother board drivers. and the n you`ll have your audio device identified. after that u can install the audio drivers.
You can use RadarSync to find the latest drivers for your devices
First, make sure the onboard audio is enabled in the BIOS. Then make sure it's listed in Device Manager, then download the latest driver from the Asus website.
The most common solution was this: open device manager click
"system devices" disable "microsoft UAA bus driver for high definition
audio" uninstall "UAA bus driver" make rescan devices (Note: Not all
had this step. You may want to skip it.) D.W. install realtek driver
the realtek driver includes the UAA driver too.Hope this
helps.
