If the drill runs backwards just swap over the two wires on the switch front left with rear right.

SOURCE: i have a bosch rotary hammer 11245evs and it was

They are filled with a special grease that comes from Bosch. It sounds like the impact bolt or the striker pin in the unit are not moving the way they should. These are the pieces that work together to create the hitting action. About all that can be done now is the unit has to be dismantled to get those to pieces moving again. Bosch makes what they call service packs for all thier hammers. They have all the o-rings and grease to get your hammer working again. A Bosch service center can supply you with the kit. Ask for P/N 1617000225, or they can take care of it for you.
Hope this helps

SOURCE: the bosch 11227e rotary hammer will not energize when

It sounds like the cord is ok as you have power to the switch. It also sounds like the switch is OK. These units have a governor on them as well. I suspect the governor because you indicated that the hammer will not come up to full speed. Beyond the governor, the only other thing to look at is the motor. You did say that you didn't notice any sparking so the motor sounds like it is OK.

In my opinion from everything you said, its the governor.

SOURCE: I have a Rockwell 616 Rotary Hammer. Where Can I

The manual I do not know but the Rockwell 616 uses a 9/16" Hex Shank. You can got www.icscuttingtools.com for a list of available bits. The bits are commonly known as Skil 728 Hex Shank. You may be able to find some locally where you are. I hope this helps. Let me know.

Thx

SOURCE: Bosch rotary hammer (model # 11230EVS) drill will not rotate

There is a clutch in the main spur wheel of the unit. These sometime begin to slip, on rare occasions they will slip to the point where the drill will not rotate. If you are interested the part number for this clutch is 1617000817.

SOURCE: Makita HP1640 hammer drill dual mode - 2 hours

Exchanged Makita HP1640 hammer drill for a new one. The 2nd drill did the same thing in under an hour!! Will return for refund. Instructions say the Forward/Reverse switch must be in a full up or down position for the Hammer/Rotary switch to move; well, it is and the Hammer/Rotary switch still stops at a 1/2 way point between modes. Although I can still use the drill, instruction warnings say not to because it may potentially burn out the motor. I'll have to go with a different brand this 3rd time around. It seems to be a design flaw.

Sparks coming off brush

#1 Check your brushes & brush springs - you will have to remove the switch handle completely to access both brushes
#2 Visual of the armature - is it black / burnt or does it have raised segments?
Most likely it will need an armature if it has run for any length of time with bad brushes.
The armature comes out the front of the motor housing so you need to remove the gearcase to access it. Armature 2610003331 for Bosch Power Tool eReplacement Parts Carbon Brush Set

I'M REPLACING AN OLD LEVITON ROTARY DIMMER WITH A LUTRON PADDLE DIMMER. THIS IS A 3-WAY SWITCH. THE ROTARY DIMMER HAS 2 BLACK WIRES, 1 RED, AND 1 GREEN. THE NEW DIMMER HAS 1 BLACK WIRE, 1 RED, 1...

with a three way switch like this, you will have two traveller wires and a common wire. Look in the instructions for the switch or on the back of the device itself to see if there is a wire labeled "common" or "com". This common wire from the old switch hooks up to the common wire on the new switch. I did a bit of searching on the leviton 6602, but couldn't find anything specifically about the three way version (I would venture to guess, however, that the red wire on the old switch is the common). The common on one of the three way switches will always be a constant hot (or power) wire...the common on the other three way switch will be the "switch leg" or the wire that connects directly to the light. The two travellers go to the other two wires. Check the pamplet that came with the lutron device, it should show which wire is common and which are travellers.

I have a 3 speed fan with a red, blue, black an white wires, how are the supposed to be wired with power. the wires go to a little black box that appears to just be wires with no circuit board

The BOX is a GE splicer - with 6 wires - 2 grey power wires, then the red, blue, black, and white from the fan motor. I have the same problem and cannot find another GE SPLICER 3 SPEED SWITCH for the fan. All switches that I have tried have 4 connections.........so a WIRING DIAGRAM would be GREAT!

Can anyone offer any help? I have tried every electrical store in the area!

Thanks

make sure your application is correct first, this switch is controlled from at least 2 locations, you cant put 2 dimmers on the same light,if you have taken the wires directly off the switch you will wire the white to the black of the dimmer and the 2 reds to each of the other wires, the white in this case is you pivot or constant hot,the other wires are the travelers

Bit will not lock into chuck. Ball inside chuck is stuck in "in" position, Bit slides all the way in and out w/o engaging the ball.

Open locking sleeve, clean the inside with a good "rust type cleaner" WD40 if you can't find anything else, let it sit overnight, I suggest doing this 2 or 3 times, leave tool with drill end facing down. Clean out with small round wire brush, lubricate with white grease.

Service minder light comes on when switch in on

There is a small brown wire on one of the brushes that has to be hooked up to the brush holder plate. If this wire has fallen of it will cause the service light to be on. If this is not the problem and the brushes are good, I would suggest taking it to a Bosch repair depot for a diagnostic.

I got a bosch 11236vs

Don't rule out nothing. All it takes is it to run on a too small and/or too long extension cord. Also if you ran it on a generator that not keeping up the voltage. The good news is takes no time to check. First remove the bottom cover by removing the center plug with a allen wrench. Then the 4 screws on the outside of the plastic. Gently pry the cover off, it's tuff and you may need a screw driver. Now you have access to the brushes, remove them and check the wire connecting them, if it's discolor (should be bright silver) then you had a low power problem and they need replacement. While in here chech the end of the armature. Too get it out you must remove the brush holders. Just disconnect the wires and pull them out with needle nose plyers. The armature should be bright and without any cracks in the segments. You can clean it up a bit with sandpaper 180 grit or finer. When reassembling ensure you notice that the end piece off the casing has a v-notch in it that lines up with a notch in the bearing end plate. Next check the cord. Remove the on/off switch by gently poping it off with a screwdriver. Remove the screws under the switch. Then remove the the handle bolt that go side to side. Now you should be able to split the handle. With a meter do a continuity test form each pin of the plug with the wires at the connection point in the unit while moving the cord around. A short in the cord may only show when the cord is in a specific position. If this does not find the problem then you need to check accross the switch. Check continuity of the white wire in to the white wire out with a meter while the trigger is engaged and repeat with the black. Also check with the same meter white to black on both sides of the switch, you should have no continuity. This also goes for the cord. This should do it. If not let me know.
