Question about Roland Music
Is there someone out there who makes this board? Roland wants $700. I just a motherboard from Japan like any other board. Any suggestions?

Shipping something to a repair shop is GUARANTEED to TEMPORARILY fix the problem due to vibration in shipping.
Not sure what you are recording to, but if it is an internal hard drive, that would be the prime suspect. Drives are cheap, replace it and format it!

Somehow you have activated the mode to download a new operating system into the unit. It likely is expecting the new SW to be presented form source such as MIDI, USB, or stick.
Get it out of that mode before something gets clobbered. DO a Factory reset which will consists of holding certain buttons and turning power on. Find this procedure in your user manual.

Troubleshoot the problem to the bad component(s). Electrolytic caps are readily available. They must be installed with correct polarity. Any leakage needs to be flushed off the board with distilled water and dried thouroughly before applying power after the repair.
