Hi,
A 6ya expert can help you resolve that issue over the phone in a minute or two.
Best thing about this new service is that you are never placed on hold and get to talk to real repairmen in the US.
The service is completely free and covers almost anything you can think of (from cars to computers, handyman, and even drones).
click here to download the app (for users in the US for now) and get all the help you need.
Good luck!

Looking for a manual for a Realistic Patrolman Pro 40 UHF/VHF Scanner. I don't even know what kind of power supply it needs.. LOL

Hi, that unit looks to be a mobile scanner and if I'm seeing right then you would need a Base power supply that could supply 12volt to it. Course you could also use a computer power supply and find the 12 volt line out on it. Here is the link to some spec's for it. Looks also to be crystal controlled so it cannot be reprogrammed. Good luck.

Will Realistic Pro 2021 receive digital frequencies?

If it does not say digital on the scanner the answer is no. If it does, most likely it is a trunking system and will require programming using software and a computer.

Realistic pro-62 scanner emits high frequency buzzing noise after half hour or so of being switched on?

There is a problem with something breaking down in power supply side. It could be a filter capacitor or a semiconductor.

Is a realistic scanner a police scanner?

Yes.

Scanners do much more than just pick up police frequencies, but yes, the term 'police scanner' is commonly used in place of more appropriate names like Radio Scanner or Wideband Receiver.

Hello bigianne, You did not list the model #'s of the scanners and my telapathic powers are not working right today. For the uniden scanner go here and download your manual for your correct scanner #. http://www.uniden.com/index/manuals_results.cfm?cat=3

For the realistic scanner, that is Radio Shack, go here and do the same,,
