How do I tighten the pole after I lengthen it? I can't get it to turn either way.

The pole will slide up and down, but it won't tighten in the length that I want.

Sometimes the car won't start and the dash lights and the radio lights flicker

Best place to start is the positive lead on the battery . Remove the lead and clean battery pole and terminal using sand paper until you have shiny syrfaces. Replace the lead and tighten the terminal . Check the battery for charge condition as what you describe indicates a flat battery

My basketball hoop broke and I have a pole cemented in the ground. Can you buy just the hoop/backboard itself and attach to the pole or do I have to cut the pole and start over?

Sorry I know nothing about basketball but it seems a crying shame to cut down the pole even if you can't find a replacement hoop and board.

I have faced many similar things and I find remembering the wise old saying "in order to get the right answer it is important to first ask the right question"...

I suggest you ask around those who should know such things - the coach at the local schools, local teams. If you don't get satisfaction then why not ask your local repair shop or fabricator if they can make what you need at a reasonable cost.

How do I put the saw on the pole

1. Remove battery from chain saw.

2. Separate main handle from chain saw

power head by pressing both release

buttons on main handle and pulling

apart. The release buttons are just in

front of the trigger.

3. Align rib on chain saw power head with

groove in power head adapter on pole.

4. Slide power head into power head

adapter until units "snap" together.

IMPORTANT: Both release

buttons on power head adapter must be

fully engaged.

5. Align rib on handle adapter on pole

with groove in main handle.

6. Slide main handle into handle adapter

until units "snap" together.

IMPORTANT: Both release buttons

on main handle must be fully

engaged.

7. Slide battery onto main handle until

release buttons "snap" together.

Be sure the battery is charged.

To extend the pole:

1. Loosen the clamping

freely.

2. Pull inner pole section out to desired

length of extension.

3. To lock pole in position, tighten clamping

lever.

Motor runs, brush won't turn, burning rubber smell

Easy to fix. The burning rubber smell is hair in the roller against the belt! Congrats, you have a healthy vacuum, you are lucky! Unplug the vacuum, remove the screws that cover the belt and roller brush. If you are nervous, take pictures with a cell phone or digital camera as you go for re-assembly. ok, pull the long roller out of it's slot and out of the vacuum. cut all hair off the roller and carefully move the belt from side to side to do the same. If the belt slips off, it slips back on easily. If the area is too tight for fingers guide it back on with any long thin wooden object. You can squeeze the belt to narrow it and slide it back over the thin metal rod that spins it from the motor. Slide the roller through the belt and back into it's slots. If it won't slide back on, turn it a quarter turn. Repeat till it does slide back into place. Put the face plate back on-tighten screws, flip it over, plug itr in and it should work!

Clock turns untill pump turns on then stops. does c8866 timer work with well control box?

If I understand correctly, you are controlling 240V water well pump with Intermatic C8866 Repeat timer.

So you must be using pump to irrigate, and want to turn pump on at certain times of day for short periods ... and want this schedule to repeat continually non-stop.

1) The c8866 repeats the same program every 4 hours so this is good choice for irrigation and it just turns the circuit on-and-off so it works fine with well control box (unless you want more complex programming).
Many types and prices of cycle timers
More cycle timers

Let me give a buckshot answer and see if I hit one of the targets you have.

2) C8866 according to manual:
a) You have on-off trippers
b) First ON tripper turns on load for 32-40 seconds
c) Each additional ON tripper will lengthen ON time by 30 seconds

3) To lengthen ON time: add successive ON trippers into dial. Each successive tripper adds 30 seconds. Let's say you want ON time to be 3 minutes, you need 6 successive ON trippers.
Maximum timer setting is 240 minutes, so your ON-OFF program repeats every 4 hours.
10 Tripper pins come with timer.
Buy more pins at Grainger for 2.69

4) Did you say the clock stops running after hitting the tripper? If so, maybe you need a bit of grease on the pins ... or a new clock motor? Buy clock motors at Aplus
5) Review the wiring
Hots from Breaker connect to COM and CLOCK poles
1 Hot to Load connects to NO normally open pole
Other Hot to load connects to CLOCK pole

6) You can reverse ON-OFF programming by the following:
Change Hot to Load from NO to NC pole and this will reverse on-off programming

The tightening screw for the main pole of my quantaray QSX 9002TM tripod broke very easily after I was careful to never over-tighten. Is there any option than sending the entire unit back to quantaray...

I had the exact same issue. I found a snapper tubing clamp at an aquarium store that works perfectly. Do an internet search on "snapper tubing clamp" or "snapper hose clamp", you'll find many suppliers. These clamps are good because there are many sizes, they are fairly adjustable, and easy to release. I set up the tripod, slide/attach the clamp on the main pole right above where the screw used to be and tighten the clamp until it doesn't allow any sliding.
You might also get lucky and find an adjustable tube clamp at a bicycle store or music store.

Centre pole is failing to hold tent up in any real wind

TRY DRILLING A SMALL HOLE ON THE INNER POLE SLIGHTLY SMALLER THAN THE DIAMETER OF THE SCREW. U WILL WANT TO DRILL SMALL HOELS EVERY FEW INCHES(CM) SO THAT U WILL BE ABLE TO SET THE POLE AT VARIOUS HEIGHTS IN THE FUTURE.

We just purchased a used '99 Starcraft Field & Stream PUP. There were no instructions for setting up the awning. I need step-by-step ''how-to'' help since everything I've found says, ''raise support...

I had exact same problem on my 93 popup. I finally figured it out. First, the poles with the plastic rings slide into the poles with the metal rings. These are the vertical support poles. Next, the poles w/ plastic nipples slide into the other poles with rubber ends. When put together the poles with the nipples should be spring loaded. These spring loaded poles rest against the top of the camper and the nipples are inserted into the 3 holes of the pole that go across the front of the awning giving you rafter support. The tension from the spring should keep the pole in place against the side of the camper. The first 3 poles with the plastic rings go from the ground to the front awning pole where the nipples can slide through the plastic ring and then into the awning pole. The vertical poles can be adjusted for height by sliding them up or down and then twisting them like a screw to tighten them up and keep them in place. 2 of my 3 vertical poles will not lock when I twist them so I have to get tricky with them. The metal rings, which should now be at the ground, are there so that you can stake it down under windy conditions. I hope this wasn't too confusing but I beleive it will help you. Good luck!!!
