Question about Garden

1 Answer

I have algea or mold or some sort of green growth on the concrete and dirt in my back yard. Recently, I believe my dog tracked in whatever that is and it gave me a rash and seems to be in my bedding. I need something that will get rid of it in my yard and as well as my carpets, matress and pillows. I have tried bleach, vinegar and even a product called Penta 900 but nothing seems to be working very well. Help!!!!

Wow--- Wash all that you can with hot water, then, pillows, all cloth in dryer on high might kill the nasties. Wash the dog! Mattress in hot sunshine for some hours . Lysol cleaned my mattress, maybe spray it on your carpet. If heat works, use a hair dryer everywhere. For outside, make a 'tea' of cigarette water - 3-4 broken cigs to a liter of water. You need much more. Soak overnght and then spray on the dirt and patio, etc. Stuff is deadly! Try it on a patch of grass to see what happens

The actual term is C L S M that means Controlled Low Strength Material. It is a method of making concrete that is used to fill in areas where compacted dirt would normally be used but the risk of sinking dirt would be a danger.

Motor burn out

I think so. I believe the motor failed while there was water in the bucket. Over time the mold started growing, it was consuming the dirt on the inside of the bucket and utilizing the water contained therein.

I have some sort of wet guck in the gasket. It took me forever to find where the smell was coming from. I have to clean it out every time I use the washer. Please help.

Hi

Try using bleach with hot water, run a cycle with hot water and bleach. Or spray bleach +water mixture on the seal. Run a cleaning cycle with hot water and bleach or vinegar at least once a month to reduce the growth of mold in other parts of the washer. You can also try using 1/2 a cup of Washing Soda or 4 cups of baking soda Crystals and run the machine with no clothes in it. This would remove all the debris, lint & mold growth from the drain pump and drain filter. This would clean the mold from the door seal as well. Hope this helps... Please post back for more information

Water Tube w/ Algae

Depending on how far up the growth is, a Q-tip or old fashioned pipe cleaner will do. Typically this is due to the water having the chlorine removed by the filter. I recommend that you remove your filter and install the bypass plug (if needed) and run a few gallons of unfiltered water through the system then let it sit overnight. The chlorine will kill any growth, then you can put the filter back in for filtered water. Usually doing this every few months will keep the "green" out.
