You have a US tuner not a European one. Only European tuners can change the even numbers. USA uses the odds. As far as I know, the US models aren't capable of tuning to the evens.

Hi,
a 6ya expert can help you resolve that issue over the phone in a minute or two.
best thing about this new service is that you are never placed on hold and get to talk to real repairmen in the US.
the service is completely free and covers almost anything you can think of (from cars to computers, handyman, and even drones).

Unable to tune frequency in the step of 0.1Mhz in my DEH-3700MP audio system.Example if i want to tune 104.0MHz it will tune to either 103.9 or 104.1MHz.

Skipping all the technical stuff, each FM broadcast channel is 0.2 MHz wide and starts on an even number. The lowest channel for example is, 87.8MHz - 88.0MHz. Radios will tune to the center channel, ie 87.9 MHz. Any FM station in the United States is always an odd number, therefore radios in the US will never tune to an even number

My sony cdx s1000, the source button does not work, therefore i cannot get the radio to tune into any stations.the cd player works but the various buttons have no effect on volume, skip tracks, shuffle etc.

you may have a bad switch. if you can you can use a multimeter to check the resistance of the switches. anything less than a few megaohms, denotes a bad switch usually.

The radio only tunes to odd numbers

look on the case of the radio to see if you have a very small switch because your tuner is set or european tuning.

Cannot tune to local stations

- The 0.2MHz odd steps are standard for US radios. Try resetting the radio (recessed button under the front panel) If this a US radio then this may not help. If you have lost the manual then go here:- http://books.jvcservice.com/booklist.asp?Model=KD-G400 Come back and say if this helped or not, I could dig a bit deeper.. -

It only seems to tune in odd radio stations

Unless you're in Europe, it's not supposed to. No stations (in America) exist on even numbers.

Sony CDX-SW200 AM/FM/CD unit

I'm not completely certain about yours, but on most Sony decks you can get to a manual tuning mode by pressing and holding the seek buttons. In other words, if you press and release the tuning button, it will automatically jump to the next channel. If you press and hold the button for a second, it should beep and possibly start flashing an "M" on the screen. After that, it should stop scanning when you release the button, without jumping to the next station.
