Brand new unit forward and reverse seems very slow moves a little then just hovers.
Make sure you're charging fully, until the light on the charger doesn't get ANY brighter when you unplug the helicopter. Also, battery must be allowed to cool 10 minutes after flying AND another 10 minutes after charging.
Most crucial is that you must never fully discharge battery. Fully draining a Li/Po even once (especially when it's new) can cripple or ruin your battery. As soon as you are unable to maintain altitude, land copter and power it off. Also, there is a button on the remote, labelled "tail motor speed switch" located near the trim control. With it in the "off" or up position the tail motor is much slower allowing for more precise control. When button is pushed to the down or "on" position, tail motor moves faster giving more tilt, and thereby much more forward/reverse 'thrust'. Verify that tail rotor is moving when right joystick is actuated (and that it reverses when right stick is pulled in opposite direction) and that it isn't loose on it's shaft... this can be tested by verifying tail rotor spin in one direction then reversing joystick... tail rotor should instantly start spinning in the other direction with NO hesitation, if it slows and then starts spinning in other direction or anything like that then it's loose. Turn helicopter upside down then VERY CAREFULLY apply a small drop of super glue where the shaft meets the tail rotor, be very cautious to not get any glue near where the shaft comes out of the motor, and do not turn right side up until glue is fully dry.
