Hi bashamdbasha If you have forgotten the code, you can unlock the IPod by doing the following: Connect your IPod to the primary computer you use it with (the first one IPod synced with), and open iTunes. When you disconnect iPod from the computer, it will no longer be locked. If you can't unlock IPod using either [the code or connecting it to the computer you use to manage its songs]. . . you can restore your iPod to factory settings using iPod Updater. Please note that this will erase all data on your iPod. Afterwards, you can add your music and data back to your iPod. If you want to change the primary computer that your IPod is associated with, do this: 1. Restore your iPod. WARNING: The restore process cannot be undone. All of your songs and files will be deleted. Always make a backup of your important data. 2. Connect your iPod to the computer that you want to be the primary computer. 3. Open iTunes and synchronize. If you can't unlock your iPod and you don't have access to the primary computer, your only option is to restore the IPod, which will erase all music and data. Please take time to rate me Bud
restore your ipod, it will solve the problem. Here is the REAL solution. Ending ipodservice.exe will NOT WORK.
1) Plug your ipod into the computer using firewire or USB.
2) Open MY COMPUTER
3) Wait until the ipod shows up as a drive letter
4) Right click on the ipod drive letter and do a ' quick format ' (Now the ipod is just a plain windows hard drive)
5) When it is complete, run the ipod updater and do a Restore. This puts the ipod software back onto it
6) Remove the ipod from the usb or firewire port, plug it into the wall power supply and allow it to finish the update

To restore the iPod, you go into iTunes, plug in your iPod, and on the sort of, iPod Menu Start-Up Page, there is a section called Version. It's on the screen when the iPod is plugged in, so you don't need to click on something called Version, and in that it says "If you are experiencing problems with your iPod, you can restore its original settings by clicking Restore." To the right of this, there is a restore button. Restore deletes everything on the iPod, and then puts it back on. You will lose saved games though. Hope I helped. Jon.

If you've tryed formatting it through iTunes but was unsuccessful, try through my computer. Follow these steps below:
First click on "Start" - now click on "My Computer", now look for your iPod usually named "Removable Disk", once you've found it, right-click on it then click "Format", once format is complete, unplug your iPod then try it now.
Good luck. Hope my solution was helpful. Further problems leave a comment on here and i'll get back to you.
