See if there is wiggle or play in the tub basket. Open loading door put your hand at the top of basket close to the opening and check movement. There should be no play.If there is water in tub when it stops check the drain hose between tub and drain pump for foreign objects. Let me know.

SOURCE: clicking noise

You will need to remove the front panel. There are two clips at the top corners (about an inch from the end) that hold the front. Release the clip and the front will come forward. This will allow you to see the working parts. Start the machine and look/listen. This is the best way to determine where the noise is coming from. If there is a bell shaped device on the bottom of the motor (motor clutch), it may be the problem.

SOURCE: Soap Dispence problem on GHW9200LW

In applications with low water pressure, insufficient water
volume is introduced during the fabric softener dispensing
portion of the cycle to flush the dispenser.
RESOLUTION:
The holes in the dispenser housing were enlarged to allow
a greater volume of water to flow through the fabric
softener dispenser to properly dispense the fabric softener.
Order and replace the dispenser housing, Part
#8181719, to correct the condition

SOURCE: Soap remains in the soap dispenser after full cycle

Plug off the wall first. Possible your inlet hose to the dispenser is clogged or something. Open up the top to examine the pipes; while you are at it see that all debris are removed, clean the fine meshes, refit carefully. Pressure from the wall faucet should be good.

SOURCE: Water over flowing in soap dispencer Whirlpool sport duet washer

A sock was in between the two tubs blocking the water going tnto the main tub. This caused the water to backup and overflow in the soap dispencer..and all over the floor I then put my hand in between the two tubs and pulled the sock out. Thanks to the expert group for giving me this solution.

How do you clean the door gasket? It has black stuff on it.

once a month bleach machine out and clean out soap and softner dispenser,so lets start cleaning you are going to need a powerful-pool shock and put 1/4 of the bag in the soap area, you well need to let it soak for 24hrs. cause you have mold in every inch of the machine. Now run the machine on cold water. After machine has gone through all cycles.Open door you may need to clean door seal with a old tooth brush, and you may need to lift seal to check underneath.after seals are clean and dispencer is cleaned were dispencer goes make sure its clean as well. after use always keep door open and dry out dispencer after each use.always use a 1/4 of a cup of clorox2 for HE. and clean machine out this should stop ths problem.

I have a 25 year washing machine that is leaking (not much) from underneath. all hoses are fine, drain too. It's the first problem i have had with it. Can this be fixed?

Check door seal, also if you remove top and put onto fill you can then see if the soap dispencer is leaking also pipe from soap dispencer to drum. Also it could be the pump leaking, this was common on some old machines.

Whirlpool duet pump stays on

try running the load with out soap
you could be oversoaping each and everytime
these machines have sud sensors and will continue to run the pump as long as suds remain in the sump
watch the load as it goes through the wash cycle
if you see suds and did not add soap then there you go
these machines do not need anything more than 1 tblspoon per load
1/8 the water 1/8 the soap

Does this unit run for hours with 1 min remaining? if so you need to replace the controll board. I have soldered some with sucess but it "Should be replaced" You also need to make sure you have just dry liquid in the unit and "Don't use soap tabs" 1 -3 tsp of soap that is all. If you are good with mech work I can walk you through the way to check ths unit out to tell what the problem is.....
