SOURCE: marley electric 3ft. basebord ,wiring w/thermostat

If your baseboard heater is rated at 220 VAC and you have wired it to a 120 VAC source then the heater will only produce about 1/4 of its rated output wattage. So, if you have a 2000 W / 240 V heater it will only produce about 500 W at 120 V. You may want to have an experienced technician wire it for you if you are not sure what you are doing. Please be careful and smart when dealing with electricity!!

I need help figuring out funky thermostat wiring on my 240v baseboard heaters.

sounds like your heater already has 120 going to it at all times. it doesn't heat because it needs 240. therefore your tstat breaks the black, when it calls for heat it closes the black therefore giving your heat the remaining 120 and begins to heat. I would think it would work just with the blacks going to l1 t1 but if l2 t2 needs the jumper you are not doing any harm. who knows what goes on inside your walls but if it ain't broke don't fix it

How to wire so either t stat will open both dampers on call for cooling

I don't know what you're trying to control - but wiring single pole (or double pole for that matter) switches - or in this case - thermostats in parallel will cause the load (dampers?) or operate and will remain operating until NEITHER thermostat is calling for cooling.

L1 is Hot
N is Neutral
T1 is TStat 1
T2 is TStat 2
D is Damper

1) Either TStat closing on rising temp will close and power D with 120V.
2) D remains powered until BOTH T1 and T2 are cold enough (satisfied) and opens.
3) When BOTH T1 and T2 are cold, power is interrupted and D de-energizes until one of the TStats calls for cooling again.

NOTE: It is possible for one TStat location to be driven TOO cold - as long as one of the TStats is calling for cooling, D will remain powered.

I need to know how to wire the thermostat to the 30" Fahrenheit baseboard heater

if its 240v your line in to the thermostat is two hots (black and white, white in 240 is no longer nuetral and must be marked as hot) and a green/bare ground from the panel, these usually connect to the reds on the double pole thermostat. the load out is usually two black wires which are then connected to the black and white wires of the baseboard unit.

Marley md26 line voltage thermostat

The Black Wires from the md26 are your load(the heater) and the red lines are your line(power). The lines are also paired up on the thermostat with a red and black on the left and are red and black on the right. In the actual heater connect the black to the black wire and the white to the white and connect the grounds. In the thermostat connect the black from the heater to left side black( remember there are pairs left(black, red) right (black, red) and the white to the right side black connect the black from your power to the left side red and the white from your power to the right side red. Should be ready to go.
