Question about Toshiba (1TBEXT-HDD) (1TBEXTHDD) 1000 GB Hard Drive
Hello. I have a TOSHIBA portable hard drive 1TB, when I plug it into my computer it makes the usual sound, the blue light is on the hard drive and I can hear and fell the hard drive buffering. The problem is that my computer does not respond, it does not show the auto-play pop up windows nor it shows under drives on my PC. I have tried with another computer, changed different USB cables, and the problem still remains. I already did the DISK MANAGEMENT steps but it does not appear. I did try to go to control panel - hardware&sound - devices&printers and there I can see that my external hard drive (STOR.E PARTNER) is under the unspecified, there is like a yellow triangle w/exclamation point bottom left inside it. it looks like a warning. I right click it and clicked properties: GENERAL Device Information Manufacturer: Unavailable Model: STOR.E PARTNER Model number: Unavailable Categories: Unknown Description: Unavailable HARDWARE Device Function Summary Manufacturer: Compatible USB storage device Location: Port_#0005.Hub_#0005 Device Status:This device cannot start. (Code 10) I have already tried to FORMAT the external hard drive when it was still working because I cant access the files in it and maybe it does contain some viruses(mostly trojans and win32) from my downloads but still it was still working.
Try using HDD Regenerator to check and possibly to repair the disk. HDD Regenerator allows to repair bad sectors on damaged hard disk drives without losses of the existing data. http://ulozto.sk/xzjZ2Bd/hdd-regenerator-1-71-keygen-h33t-murtajiz-zip

Sometimes an additional drive doesn't show up because there is no free letter, especially if you are on a network. From Disk Management (right click on My Computer, Manage) if you see your drive there, try assigning it a letter. Or disconnect other drives that are mapped. Typically an external device wants to be "next" after your hard drive (usually c:) and CD-ROM (usually d:)

u might have to format it in safe mode or buy a new one, if you try it on some one elses comp. and it works it ur comp. but it is most of the time a software issue

from what you have written it seems that the Hard Drive is dead and doesn't have the ability to read the drive.
You will need a new hard drive this one is not recoverable.
