HP Pavillion laptop Model # ze4220. Does not display anything on the screen . Tried pushing fn + f5 3 times, like the manual suggested to no avail. Help?it

Could be screen is bad. Try connecting a monitor to the monitor output if one. If monitor works then your screen is definitely fubar. If it also does not work then the video circuits of laptop are gone.

If laptop is the messed up you are screwed since the video circuits are all part of the mo bo and the entire board would have to be repaired. HP will soak you for the board and labor. Cheaper to replace laptop.

You can connect any HDMI or VGA (15 pin) compatible monitor or TV, almost every monitor has VGA connector or VGA adapter at the end of connector and you can use it.

HP PAVILLION DV9500 everything works except the monitor??

This question requires a techincal person to first, attach an external monitor to the laptop to see if there is video going to the external monitor? Then while the external monitor is hooked up he should run full diagnostics to see if the motherboard video adapter is fully functional? If it is? He has to open the laptop and trace to see if the plug from the motherboard to the monitor needs to be reseated. The worst case scenario is you will have to replace the motherboard.

Hp pavillion wont boot, i just get a black screen

hello

I have read your problem and I think its a sure case of gone RAM.

Replace the RAM with a new one and your system will work fine.

Thank You

HP pavillion dv9005 no display - works fine on external monitor

If the notebook's video card (which may be on the motherboard) is successfully displaying images on an external monitor it sounds more like a problem with the notebook display or its connections. Probably the motherboard is OK.

My HP Pavillion laptop turns on but the screen doesn't show.

You could be expierencing a problem with your monitor screen. try this.... connect another monitor screen to the VGA port of your laptop. Now try booting up. Look for and push Fn + the key that turns on a secondary display. if the monitor screen comes on. you need
another laptop monitor. At least you can use your laptop with the second monitor for now.

HP Pavillion DV6701 SERIES LAPTOP

Usually it's a problem with the motherboard with majority of the HP DV series laptops. They just released an extended warranty that covers many of their models. You can check your warranty here:

If you'd like to try something yourself, I would recommend reseating the memory and booting your laptop without the main battery installed.

Best of Luck!
