There should be a conversion kit that came with the unit plus installation instructions. If not, then the type of kit you need will be identified in the unit paperwork. You may want to have a technician perform this task if you are unsure in just the slightest. Natural gas and propane use different sized nozzels for dispersing the gas for proper ignition. If not installed properly it could cause incomplete combustion, which = CARBON MONOXIDE = ETERNAL SLEEP. Hope this helps!

According to the Comfort Glow Website, this is a Natural Gas unit. If you use propane you will need
a minumum 100# LP Cylinder and a pressure regulator. I have a Comfort Glow unit and went through the same process.
If you have it hooked up to a 30lb cylinder without a regulator I would think that if you purged the gas line
of air you should be able to light the pilot.
On a new unit you can expect to push the spark ignitor button at least a dozen times while holding
down the gas valve button.

Converting gas appliances normally entails the replacement of a jet that controls the flow of gas and in most cases, the manufacturer will (or will not) have replacement jets available. If they do, it should not be costly or difficult since they are often only screwed on.

Merry Lynn, there will be no physical differences between Natural Gas heaters and Propane Gas heaters. Check the model number of the unit, it may have a N or P or LP printed at the end of it to distinguish which gas it uses. The plate that is attached to the heater should indicate the type of gas it uses.
DO NOT try to convert this heater to another gas.
