Canon ipf 9000 error code E161-403F

I loaded a new roll of paper and got error code E161-403F. So far I have switched the printer on and off (and unplugged the machine) and checked for anything trapped around the print heads (that are only 1 month old).

SOURCE: Canon MP500 Printer head error

Hello,

Print heads for nearly all printers are rated at 2 years. You may also need to clean the tube from the resevoir at the ink supply to the cartridge and clean the working resevoir on the cartridge as well. If you are up to this challenge there is a how-to at your manufacturer's web site or you can have a tech do it. Most people, when they realize how inky you will be getting choose to have a tech do this.

It is best to use 100% denatured alcohol, from your hardware store, to clean these parts and tubing. But, you must take precautions.

DO NOT USE DENATURED ALCOHOL UNLESS YOU READ AND FOLLOW THE DIRECTIONS ON THE BACK OF THE CAN.

I'm not kidding about the precautions. I do all this stuff outside when there is a breeze in the air and then I stay up wind of my work.

If you have any questions whatsoever just feel free to comment back to me.

Regards,
Worldvet

SOURCE: canon ipf 8000 print head problems

You need to boot the printer into service mode.

Hold down the roll/source button and the info button while you are powering on the machine.

This should get you booted into the service menu where you can then access the replace printhead function

When you have successfully replaced the printhead, reboot the printer to get out of service mode,

You may also want to check the firmware version of your printer and update it.

Updates can be found on the Canon website

OK. It sounds like there's something on the carriage bar restricting the movement of the ink carrier. Perhaps some ink got on the bar.
Try taking a clean lintfree rag dampened with rubbing alcohol and clean the bar. This may have to be repeated a number of times to get the foreign matter off the bar and the ink carriage.
Let me know if this helps. iF it does not we can try something else.
Thanks.

SOURCE: I need to change the

you can solve this error code by removing the purge unit (take care of the ink).
Then you have to turn upside down the unit to check the gears. There is a white gear that moves in the ''air''. you have to re adjust the gear to transfer the move normally.
Then the problem dissapears.
Also you have to check if the motor is still moving.

MG5765 printer. What does error code c1003 indicate?

The canon printer error code 1003 appears when you have No paper in cassette / paper not loaded properly in the cassette.

Try this to correct the problem:

    1.Close the paper output tray.
2.Pull the paper feeder tray out.
3.Insert a stack of paper until the top edge touches the far end of the feeder.
4.After loading the paper, push the feeder so that the arrow mark on the front tray aligns with the arrow mark mark on the printer.
5.Open the paper output tray, then press the OK button on the printer.

Canon ipf605 paper error

Here is what I've found out by trial and error.
Paper Roll Won't Load:
-Usually occurs when the roll is less than 50% full
-Printer will give the error "paper loaded askew"
    To Correct This:
      - Press and hold Stop until Job Cancel comes up on the
      screen
      - Press Menu
o Scroll Down until Adjust Printer menu comes up
o Press right side arrow next to OK button
o Scroll down to Manual Band Adjust and press right side
arrow again (or select one of the other adjustments)
      - Select Yes and press OK
      - Load paper roll - make sure paper is straight
      - When asked (printer will beep) select Plain Paper and
      press OK
      - Let paper load
      - When printer starts to print press and hold Stop to cancel
      job
      - Paper should now be loaded
When all else fails load a new roll.
This would be a temporary solution until the sensor is fixed.

My Canon IPF 9000 keeps tearing up the paper when loading, especially the thinner stuff, it gets caught up under the ink carriage and then bunched up and then I have to switch the whole thing off and...

Use only the recommended printing paper in your printer or else the rollers will chew them off and cause more harm.
A thin paper can move off with the roller unlike a thicker one as the gap in the roller is set for the printing paper.
So please check this out.

Reload Paper constantly shows up

This printer is very finicky about paper loading. I see this error most commonly when using auto-cut roll paper. If the paper edge is not cut perfectly straight, and it is not inserted into the printer perfectly strait, it will give you an error. When it does this, you can simply load the paper and press "cut" instead of "pause" when it says "press pause" and it will cut the paper straight. You can also set it to "Roll Paper Manual Cut" and load the paper, then set it back to "Roll Paper Auto Cut."
