I cannot use my CAC card reader on my MacBook Air

There are a few things you can try to get your MacBook to recognize your Olympus SD card:

1. Make sure that the SD card is properly inserted into the card reader or the MacBook's SD card slot.
2. Check to see if the SD card is locked. Some SD cards have a physical switch that can lock or unlock the card. Make sure the switch is in the unlocked position.
3. Try using a different card reader or a different SD card to see if the problem is with the card reader or the SD card itself.
4. Try using a different USB cable to connect the card reader to your MacBook.
5. Check if your mac has the latest macOS update.
6. Check if the SD card is formatted in a file system that your Mac can read (ex: exFAT, FAT32).
7. Try running disk utility on your mac and repair the SD card.

If none of these steps work, it may be an issue with the SD card itself, and may need to be replaced.

If the Gateway is not linked to the government network through your department or agency's router and/or hub system, your gov't ID won't do a thing in the CAC reader. If your security clearance is no longer current, your CAC won't allow you to get into the network either. If there are other issues, please contact your department or agency's Network Administrator or IT specialist to grant you access. The ID card that has a chip of it may be corrupted and you may need a new one too!

First off you need to make sure that you have the right security encryption selected in the internet options. Then you need to make sure that you have the right CAC card certificates.

Use a card reader to download to a folder you create on your desktop.

As far as mouse is concerned all you need is PRACTICE, and there may be a compatibility issue with your keyboard or the wire you are using is not fine, coz the kvm switch is definitely ok when used with 2 systems.

Use a card reader instead of the camera from now on.

ActiveCard Gold had known problems that were never fixed. Upgrade to the newer Active client 6.2 very reliable and stable CAC program. Also has several very useful tools in it as well. DoD switched to this a few years ago and has worked very well.

It really doesn;t matter which one you choose as long as it works. One is no more "Secure" than the other.
PCMCIA cards are great, So are Express cards. But as said whatever works. Just make sure it has relevent current approved drivers etc. ya be good to go.

If you mean sd card then i don't think it does.

The CC543A is the approved CAC reader from HP. That is what we are using on these devices throughout our organization. The reason some CAC readers do not work is because the STIGS on the device from HP require that the device software for the readers also be used. The readers are about $300 each.
