Question about Computers & Internet
A new apartment we just moved into for temporary housing has a Comcast connection with a netgear router. Google.com works fine, but anything else fails. All the other data connections work wirelessly, but the browser can resolve or load anything. Typing the IP address doesn't work either. Ping works but nslookup returns: default server unknown.
DNS? PTR record? Not sure how to fix any of that in Vista.
Thanks for any help!
I would try to reset the router to factory default to do that unplug the router for 30 sec or at the back of the router, there should be a small hole where u can stick a paper clip. stick it in there and hold for 30 sec the hole should say reset.

a 6ya expert can help you resolve that issue over the phone in a minute or two.
best thing about this new service is that you are never placed on hold and get to talk to real repairmen in the US.
the service is completely free and covers almost anything you can think of (from cars to computers, handyman, and even drones).
click here to download the app (for users in the US for now) and get all the help you need.
