Unable to clean, error 5A. Already reset purge counter. Print head clear of any obstructions and moves properly. Unable to determine what error 5A is.

Hi Jason, 5A is usually caused by a bad maintenance unit. The purge cam gear may be broken or too much load on the maintenance unit. Either way replacing maintenance unit should solve the problem.

Hi there

Solution:

· Press the “mono start” button several times until you see “purge: xxxx”
· Press “2783” in order to reset the purge counter. You will see: “purge:0000”

Printer message: Unable to Print

5A means that the purge cam stopps abnormally when it is in use. This could be of a broken cam shaft. You have to replace the whole purge unit. This is a service job to do!
