Question about Vornado Air Purifiers
How to replace transducer on vornado ultrasonic humidifier Transducer shot. Severe corrosion bubbled up metalic surface, leaving only 50 percent of surface area to produce mist. Having a hard time finding replacement. Also, is access to the transducer gained by removal of the grommet on the top side, or is access gained by removal of the metal backing plate on the inside?? Thanks for your help!

if the metal screen is removable, run under warm water and gently brush with damp rag
if no removable, unplug unit, wipe clean with damp rag

When the green LED starts to blink, means that there is a bulb failure in the RCI module. It typically glows greenish blue when it working. Check the connector to see if it is seated properly, and also check the power connector for problems. I had a problem with the power connect not making a good contact and it caused the power to be intermittent. I was able to clean the connector with a can of electrical contact cleaner from Radio Shack to fix this problem. If you can't get the bulb to light, you will need a new RCI module.
As for the purification plate, the one that shaped like a tongue depressor, it does not matter which way it go back in to the unit. You should be able to get parts from your dealer or you can call the company at 800 989 2299. Hope this helps.

SOURCE: After removing and cleaning the
Make sure there isn't a clip at the bottom (back) that may be preventing it from sliding all the way. This clip may be used for holding it in place while it's in, but loose enough for you to remove it when needed. The metal stips should not be what is holding it back, however, look closely on that side on the unit, and see that there is equivalent space. It could be that the grooves and metal just aren't lining up as needed, and because it is such a close fit, you are not able to see that while inserting it back in.
Please let me know if you need further assistance.
