SOURCE: we have a onga pump model 445 that we use to draw

The pump is equipped with a pressure switch. It is a rectangular thing on the discharge side of the pump. If you open its cover, you will see 2 springs with turning bolt on top. The larger spring controls the operating pressure (pressure where you want the pump to stop), and the other one is for the pressure differential (the difference between the pressure you want to stop and the pressure you want to make the pump run again). Usually, the springs are graduated. just turn the adjusting screws to the desired operating pressure and desired differential. For example you want to stop your pump at 40 psi and run it again at 30 psi. Adjust the larger spring to 40 and the smaller one to 10.

SOURCE: i have an onga model 445 pump wont work on a generator

You can try running a heavier Gage or shorter cord to the genarator. If that's been done try useing a power suppley box commeing from your gen. not a surge protector this will have battries inside it, doing this will cutt down on electrical resistance. If those don't work you will need a bigger gen. The problem is the amprage is to low, one more thing, look in to a inline a/c compasitor

SOURCE: how to adjust pressure switch onga pump.

your pump should have a 20lb seperation ie. pump turns on at 20lb and off at 40lb or on at 50lb off at 70lb. under the cover of the switch theres two screws with springs under them.dont mess with the small one.the large one if you screw it down (right) will increase the pressure while maintaining the 20lb separation. one thing to keep in mind its fine to adjust the pressure BUT at the same time the air pressure in the tank needs to be adjusted to two lbs below the cut in pressure of the pump.

Onga JJ 600 household pump with pressure cylinder. Pump cuts out at pressure but won't cut in until water flow has stopped. Pump approx 5 yrs old and no previous problems.

It sounds like a pressure switch problem. Check that your tank pressure is at two psi below your cut-in pressure. If it is correct, then I suggest replacing the press switch.

My janome pressure on the foot is to strong. How do I change the pressure on this

Consult the owner's manual. Machines vary.

Most machines have a pressure adjustment, but where it is located will depend on the machine you have. Some newer machines have a dial on the left side of the machine above the needle. Older machines may have a dial or a "plunger" type post on the top left.

Here's manual that shows pressure adjustment on pg 7:

How do I adjust the presser foot pressure on my Janome 7100QDC

your model doesn't have this feature Janome 7100QDC Computerized Sewing Machine , it it did, there would be a knob on the top left of the machine above the presser foot which you could screw up or down to increase or decrease the pressure. Its not a feature on many machines, the presser foot bar has a big spring internally which applies the pressure and this will just adjust to suit the fabric under the foot.

Pump is turning on & off very quickly, is this due to low pressure? What is recommended bowl pressure? Pump is Onga 443.

this indicates that there is a failure of the non-return valve between the pump and the control unit. The residual pressure ( that what holds the switch in the off position) is draining away -probably back through the pump non-return valve or there is a hole in the pipes after the unit and the pump is constantly switching on to maintain pressure.
If you have a bowl and diaphragm that you can pump up with a air pump to get a set pressure to operate at it is possible that the set pressure on the diaphragm is too low.
As a point of interest there are better control units that do away with the bowl operation. they turn on quicker, self adjust to the number of taps on line, smaller and more reliable They also do not have the noticeable drop in pressure until the pump starts as they are almost instant reaction to pressure difference.

How do I adjust the pressure switch on my hayward h250 heater

The purpose of the pressure switch is to verify the pool pump is operating properly and water pressure is present in the heating chamber. When water pressure is not present, the heater control system is designed to not allow initiation of flame. The pressure switch is preset at the factory for deck level installations. When the heater is located below the level of the spa or pool, the pressure switch may require an adjustment to compensate for the no-flow static head.

CAUTION: The Hayward Pool Heater is essentially a furnace. A trained technician should be consulted to repair it. DO NOT OPERATE the Hayward Pool Heater without a properly functioning and calibrated water pressure switch. The pressure switch adjustment requires both the pool pump and the heater be operational. As a result, extreme caution should be used during this procedure since sources of energy can not be isolated during the procedure.

The following procedure is recommended to calibrate the pressure switch.

1. The water pressure switch is located behind the front service panel. The pressure switch is typically on the left side, above the burners.
2. Be sure the water filter is clean before making the adjustment.
3. With the pump and heater system switch on, carefully turn the pressure switch adjustment dial clockwise, until a click is heard from the gas valve.
4. Turn the adjustment dial counterclockwise 1/4 turn.
5. Turn the pump off and on several times. The heater should shut off immediately when the pump is shut off. If the heater fails to shut down when the pump is off, repeat the steps above until the pressure switch is properly adjusted.
6. If the adjustment process fails to produce proper results the pressure switch should be replaced.

This is a parts identification question. My manual does not identify a part just above the tension part on the top of the machine left edge which is round in appearance about a little smaller than a dime...

Possibilities are:

foot pressure adjustment
tension dial adjustment
stitch elongation

If you can already identify the tension adjustment dial and this device is above the pressure foot, then I would gess it is the first one, foot pressure adjustment.

Many models don't have this but it was standard for many years on all machines, allowing you to control the pressure of the foot onto the needle plate, something you need to vary if you are sewing very heavy coatings or very fine silks, sometimes you just need to finesse the pressure yourself.

Hello, There should be a sensor in the air snorkel and if it is sprayed with a choke or brake cleaner it is probably unreliable. This part can be cleaned with Electronics spray. The sensor measures the incoming Air temperature and makes engine adjustments based on temperature.

You can get a free scan at Autozone, Advance, or Oreilys autoparts stores. There are some malfunctions which will not set a Code and yours is temperature sensitive, so the scanner will have to catch it at the right temperature.

Looking at the thresholds you have given, there are a few other possibilities. If you look at hard acceleration, manifold pressure drops and you are saying the engine runs smoother with less manifold pressure. Could be a bad MAP sensor. Then looking at temperatures above 75 degrees, pressure in the fuel tank increases and the Evaporative Emissions system must adjust to capture the gas vapors. If the Evaporator solenoid is misfiring you may be feeling it cut-out. You have replaced the fuel pressure regulator, but has the regulator been adjusted? Some systems use a Relay to help the pressure regulator buffer the constant changes in demand to the fuel pump. The Relay could be bad making it seem that the pressure regulator was bad when it actually was not.

Check with one of the above 3 autoparts places for info on this Relay and if your model has it. I hope my solution is very helpful and that your problem is a less expensive part.
