Take the mic plug apart and look at it the wire with the shield around it is the audio, then look and see which pin it hooks to.

I suggest buying a 5 pin to 4 pin adapter. Ebay has them for $6. I would go chopping wires on the mic. Cobra 29 ltd is a nice radio. Have one myself.
