Display problem I have Acer Notebook 4710. When its switch is on, its screen display white. After switched off and on again it displays the screen indicating start window normally and accordingly when i enter it the normal screen displays.

Step 1:

Into the Windows 7 Control Panel, locate and open the "Color Management". Open the "Color Management" dialog box, switch to the "Advanced" tab, then click the lower left corner "to change the system defaults.


Subsequently, the system will pop up a dialog "Color Management - System default value again. In this dialog box, the same switch to the "Advanced" option, and then select the check "Use Windows display calibration", after the modification is completed, save the settings and exit.

You should check your power...then if display wont come on screen you need to contact computer hardware eng. they repair it...

Have your laptop check up the technician, it has somethingt to do with your video card

CHECK YOUR SYSTEM RAM IF IT IS OK THEN THERE IS A PROBLEM WITH THE MOTHERBOARD

Seem that your screen resolution changed. Turn off the notebook and again switch it back press F8 until it shows a list of option and then select SAFE MODE. Select it and enter into safe mode.

After welcome screen Right click on Desktop and select properties.

You will get Display Properties window.

Then select the Settings TAB in Display Properties. There select the screen resolution as low as you can 640by480 or 800by 600 then select apply and restart the Laptop.

The notebool should work normally as previously it work.

i think this is ur lcd problem ,u need to replace lcd

First, to verify if it is your display adapter, connect an external monitor to your laptop and see if it displays fine. If it is fine on the monitor, then we know that it is from your laptop screen(in this case, it is either you first check from a technician if it is the colour that has to be refilled or if you need to purchase a new screen). If not then it is from your display adapter(could be from corrupt display drivers). In this case, you would have to re-install new drivers for your display adapter(you can download it from your system manufacturer's website if you don't already have it).

Try connecting your laptop to an external monitor.Connect it with a vga cable to your monitor and press Fn+ monitor key(I don't know what it is for acer) to switch displays.If there are no lines on the external monitor then the problem is due to the notebook lcd.If there are lines then it is due to a driver.Reinstalling the driver should fix that then.
