Usually it's one of the thermal protection devices attached to piping inside the dryer. I usually see 75% thermal device failure and 25% heating element problem. Thermal protection devices are also very cheap. Is this a gas dryer? If so it could also be the ignightor. Do you or a friend have a simple meter to measure things with?

My new elite ceramic glass cooktop blows cold air from oven vents when using top burners. is this normal?

Normally I would expect the user manual to cover this unusual behavior, but sometimes they don't. Most new ranges have a considerable amount of electronics controlling things like temperature etc. These controls used to be mechanical, and not so sensitive to heat. This likely is normal operation, and that the fan is blowing cold air in order keep the electronics cool, and to extend the life of the components -just like a computer.

New Kenmore elite range blows cold air from oven vent when top burners are on. Is this normal

That sounds a bit unusual.... Does the fan come on when you turn on the oven on bake? How about on broil? How about on self-clean. If it comes on in all those settings, then it may be working as designed. If NOT, they there may be a crossed wire, or you may have a malfunctioning control.

Hi newish oven, seems when all the ovens are off the fan is blowing cold air, any ideas?

cold air from the fan forced element area in the oven? or from the air vent just above the door? if its from the air vent then this is normal if your oven senses the outside cabinet is getting to hot it will bring on the fan and if its still to hot after u turn it off the fan will continue as its circuit doesnt run through the control knobbs meaning it wont turn off with the oven its controlled via a overload thermostat so the fan will remain on til it gets within its acceptable temp range and the thermostat will cut power to the fan, if it remains on for hours and hours or even days you will be looking at a new thermostat (cheap as dirt like only a few bucks) or worst case a controller

This dryer is a gas model. Drying a load of clothes takes several hours. The exhaust vent has warm air blowing through, but it isnt' hot.

Most often, this is caused by obstructions in the vent pipe. Check to see if it needs to be cleaned-out. The blockage is usually closest to the dryer.

Whirlpool dryer model LER7646A blows cold air. The heating element is intact and shows resistance on the ohm meter.

make sure you have 240 volts going to the dryer, your filter is on top so remove the back panel,if the dryer hasn't been cleaned out in over two years check the thermal fuse,if that's good then check all the thermostats on the heater box, unplug the dryer, you have to remove at least one of the wires on the part you're checking with the meter, read out the parts, like i said start with the thermal fuse located to the right of the duct that the lint filter slides into,it's white and it's a 3392519.if that's good move down to the heater box.let me know what you find

Kenmore oven blows hot air out at top

The hot air is supposed to come out so you can heat other things. If the oven is loosing heat, try to see if vent has flap, or test the temp sensor
